Hard to tell on that chart with no dollar grid, but it looks like about a buck-fifty or so.

Maybe $3 for me. There are babies being born in a world with $73 oil now.

About $14 or $15, I can't really tell. Born in 87. Wish I had gotten in on oil back then :(

Looks like it cost about $3. This thread reminded me of the 1973 oil embargo and how gas prices rose. My mother was driving us somewhere and pulled into the local station to "fill 'er up". The price had gone up to 47ยข a gallon and you'd have thought someone was taking my mother's purse and beating her with it (or some such nonsense). She whooped and hollered and carried on for a good hour about the outrage of paying so much. She made so much about it, I remember it today.

The price of oil was around $25 when I was born in the early 1980s.

january ' 79

(you gotta take into account the CPI though, 30$ in 1980 roughly translates to 80 now)

Not sure how much it was when I was born but in the sixties going to college I had a VW bug and $2-3 kept it going all week.
