Looks like it cost about $3. This thread reminded me of the 1973 oil embargo and how gas prices rose. My mother was driving us somewhere and pulled into the local station to "fill 'er up". The price had gone up to 47¢ a gallon and you'd have thought someone was taking my mother's purse and beating her with it (or some such nonsense). She whooped and hollered and carried on for a good hour about the outrage of paying so much. She made so much about it, I remember it today. :lol:
