i mean if we have a soft landing and not destroy ourselves in the process.

mine is hemp cultivator...i can sell paper, canvas, rope, etc all from farming the good old hemp plant...maybe develop a market for hemp seed oil or something too...the ideas are limitless!

and i won't even get into the potential pharmaceutical nature of it either***

but yea i'd like to do that post-peak if at all possible

***DISCLAIMER: i have never sold, nor currently sell, nor will ever sell illegal drugs

Why, captain of a neo-clipper ship crewed by beautiful amazon women, of course :-D All jokes aside, carpentry, potato farming and lo-tech tinkering might just be right up my alley.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('nemo', 'W')hy, captain of a neo-clipper ship crewed by beautiful amazon women, of course .
Careful what you wish for: 8O

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he word Amazon is of unknown origin, however a folk etymology popped up which explained the word as being a deriviative of the preface "a-", meaning "without", followed by "mazos", meaning "breast". This folk etymology was supported by the folktale that Amazons cut off one breast to facilitate archery.
Even if they do have breasts, they would make you walk the plank and take over the ship. They were fighters.

Exactly! I'd need a crew of fierce fightn' folk to fend off pirates and gigant squid and whatnot!

I'd like to run Bartertown.

I could start it out as a theme park and as things go bad it'll just morph into the real deal.

I sure like that clipper ship idea...

I hope I can still be in some IT job, teleworking, of course.

If that doesn't work out, I think the plan is get a houseboat, land it on Brighton beach, and try to make a living of odd jobs with the things I'm good at, from fixing computers, to giving private lessons on science subjects, to writing articles, to giving advice on herbal medicine. Whatever shows up.
