$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('ashurbanipal', 'I') believe in an impersonal deity (i.e. God has no mind or intention about anything--it's more of a process than a being). But by most people's standards, I'd be an atheist. Which is weird, because I'm also an ordained priest.
An Episcopalian priest by any chance?
I've found that the Episcopal church is fairly accepting of people with different conceptions of god. So far I've had significant dealings with 2 different priests and neither one was bothered by my self proclaimed agnostic status. This is good as I like the community of the church (and feel that it will be important as we go through tough times).
This is just one more reason to be slightly worried about my present local (metro Atlanta). Episcopalians are few and far between so the church I attend draws from a wide area (15 miles radius at least). As transportation costs go up our community will have to fracture. The churches closer to me at too Baptist or evangelical to be tolerable.
