Another German extreme hypercar design, and this one is claimed to have been road tested in less than perfect conditions sporting an outrageous 264 mpg@47mph (0.89 l/100km@75 km/h). Impractical and impossible to economically mass produce, but impressive 8O

"Impractical and impossible to economically mass produce" ??

You can massproduce easily with less titatnium and magnesium parts so
it will be cheaper and obviosuly gain some weight as the the mpg drops to 250mpg or less.. But still a badass car!
Review and pictures:

That 1L VW concept car was heading for further production ready prototypes, perhaps even early low volume production. But VW changed its CEO for even bigger moron and this project and many others were killed. VW lost quite a money on low consumption cars at that time (Lupo, Fox) nobody bought them even in Europe.. This car was certainly more developed than Loremo at this stage.. So if it gets to $150 gallon VW can pull it off on the streets in a short time - I'm not claiming it would change the overall picture though..

Lupo/fox engines:

New article about Loremo - some interesting pictures too:

Well, the company (Axle) of this new superefficient Sumo electric engine sourced out the EV-7 bike development to japanese guy who actually builds custom Akira (Manga) motorcycles - they are very nice but price above $20K.. These are ICE version, although he has got some EV prototypes as well..

The electric version running Etek motor..

There is also not so proportionally accurate version but less expensive.
It's basically a kit for Honda Fusion/Helix 250ccm scooter:

A tiny, three-wheeled car that could help solve city congestion has been demonstrated at the University of Bath.

The prototype Clever (Compact Low Emission Vehicle for Urban Transport) car is one metre wide and less polluting than normal vehicles.

It has a top speed of 100 km/h (60mph) and uses a novel tilting chassis to make it safe and manoeuvrable.
