A Global Mosh Pit?

Unread postby HonestPessimist » Mon 27 Mar 2006, 00:06:29

I would like to think that we are in the middle of a global mosh pit until 2012: everybody and every country will be fighting, bickering, accusing, screaming at each, pushing around, huff-puffing, flinging themselves, jumping onto, crawling, biting, kicking, or whatever hell's breaking loose onto and with each other.

All the breaking points are converging into this year and we'll be just rebalancing ourselves and the world order for the future once everyone and everything will settle down in 2013, perhaps.

We'll see.

Can you elaborate please on the seemingly arbitrary timeline 2012 / 2013 and why you picked these years?

The reason why I brought it up was simply because of a lot of New Age movement (in particular quoting the Maya calender) is hinting towards those dates. No offense please. I have little information about this and for all we know you might have done some extensive research. This I say not jokingly, since ANY research qualifies in this case, no matter how metaphysic it might be.

*Science* indicates we'll be on the peak on a solar flare cycle.
*Astrology* anticipates a "Grand Cross".

*Both* can be interpreted as TSHTF.

*Both* Are trying to predict the future, which is always in motion. Difficult it is... I place little faith in either.

I place great faith in great problems ahead, with no certain solutions.
Good night, and good luck...

Well, 2012 seems like it might be a good year to pick for the convergence of:

The energy crunch getting seriously ugly.

Global warming starting to cause worldwide crop failures and drinking water shortages.

Bird flu finally mutating to a super-virulent human-to-human version.

The global monetary system collapsing.

However, I do not share your opinion that things will "settle down" after that convergence. That, I would think, would be when the mosh pit would turn into a meat grinder. I don't see a "rebalancing".

Wouldn't it be remarkable if all that went down during the year the Mayans ended their calendar?
