Okay I like to know how some here seem to think that if woman ran the world it be paradise now? It seems hogwash to me to think women are more intune with nature.

Does anyone here believe that? I haven't seen it...

I don't think anyone should run the world.

Hi All,

I think that it is quit obvious that I am the only person alive qualified to run the world. So I hereby declare myself ’Lord Duke’ Dictator of Plant Earth for life.

Now that the details are out of the way you may all grovel at my feet.

Lord Duke of Indiana

On the serious side. I think our society is far to complex to be governed by anyone. Like trying to steer a Battleship with a canoe paddle.

The problem of 2006 - extreme overshoot - cannot be helped by a change of management.

Believing in political solutions to overshoot is like believing that the Titanic passengers would have been better off if there had been a mutiny after the ship hit the iceberg.

I agree. Besides I don't think any culture has ever been exclusively run by women. Some probably didn't restrict women as much as others so they had more opportunity to be a part of the public culture. But I don't see women doing a better job as exclusive leaders than men.

What the world needs is people committed to living in such a way to support a positive community and care for future generations through care in their use of the environment. A complete paradigm shift in fact. Male/female distinctions are truly irrelevant in judging the worth of a person. Each person should be free to use their own skills and talents for the good of the community as they see fit, irrespective of gender, sexual orientation, race, socio-economic status, hair colour and religious inclination.

But I don't expect to see it in my lifetime. Humans are too limited in vision as a group. They feel a strong need to pigeon-hole people to simplify social interaction. It's easy to make standard judgement calls on simplistic characteristics and what the person looks like. And it means they don't have to think for themselves.
Kind regards, Katkinkate

I agree, its too complex and far too many people, by several billion. I read somewhere that the optimum number of people to form a cohesive group is 150. We evolved as tribes people and I think that's what our pychology is suited for.
