I keep trying to inform some people of the rough times ahead on the forum at gasprices.com. All I get is the same hogwash "ITS BUSHS FAULT" 'KILL BUSH'. I ask them why they think he's responsible and they just ignore me and blabber away about how Bush did us in. There are people whom you just can't help nor feel sorry for them the crap hits the fan and they starve to death. I told ya buddy many times. Still sticking to "Bush did it' when he's out of office and some Commie Democrat is while you die? Hope that makes you feel better.

It's only as much Bush's fault as it is every President's fault going back to Carter.

It's not like the Democrats have any more spine. Remember back when Kerry was campaigning and people somehow got the idea that maybe we should stop buying gas guzzlers and actually be responsible with energy? Whoah, Kerry had to go out and tell everyone that buying SUVs was what every patriot should go out and do immediately. Glad we corrected that little mistake.

The more property or money they have the more creative they are at strong arming the person delivering the message. If you see reality then you are a bastard… Humans are designed for the middle of the road… Most people can only see averaged trends; they are incapable of seeing edges or frontal waves… they only see what they want to see, that which will power their exponential growth… Peak oil gets in the way of that new SUV, plasma TV, liposuction, or size 100 jeans…

The way I look at it now is like this. If you believe in peak oil, like me, keep your mouth shut; think what will life be like in post peak? What will be in demand that can be supplied? Learn to make money in that world. As economies recede and collapse there will be allot of wealth transfer even as wealth shrinks.

Keep you mouth shut and get wealthy.

In the end, brains will win… The world will be very intelligent after this crash…

That's not exactly what I meant. These guys really wouldn't care if Commies took over, and some would actually prefer it. They want gas lines a mile long. They want shortages. As long as they get gas for a buck, they don't care.

I hate to say it, but lutherquick is basically right. This is prime time to make a lotta dough and come out alive in this. I have complained about Bush about the war and the environment. I have even protested the war. I carried a sign against the oil war without understanding how much the US needed the oil. But now, I am sick of Bush being blamed for everything and talking about all of these inane issues. I always thought he was more like a symptom, but I just can't listen to people talking about Bush from the typical shallow analysis anymore while they seem so satisfied on how deep they are being.

Did you ever read about the British geologist who went all around Indonesia and the region telling leaders and warning people of the imminent earthquake and tsunami? No one would listen and he resorted to printing and posting flyers with his own money.

I wish it wasn't true, but trying to wake people up to PO usually ends in frustration and just giving up. The peak oil tsunami is coming and most people will be as unprepared as they were for the tsunami that hit Indonesia.

I am basing my facts on a) Gore is heavily invested with Occiental. b) Gore refused to talk to the U'wa tribes. c)follow the money, lotta lotta money going to colombian rebels due to Clinton being chummy with Gore.
