Is believing that people (however silly) should be allowed to protest (not burn down buildings) because they are offended by a cartoon PC? Is someone who is interested in why we are hated PC?

Is someone who says in public that all religious followers are childish unthinkers PC?

It is dangerous to let the term political correctness be justification for stifling a discussion about race issues. So is terming someone who believes in seperatism a fascist.

We should not be PC, but it in itself has just become an insulting term like dick head. It means nothing anymore. Nobody I have heard has said we should cow-Tao to anyone because they burn down buildings.

If we are to live with free speech, then we are free to insult other peoples beliefs, but people are also free to say abolish free speech, or democracy go to hell or whatever it was. Absolutely stupid I accept but stupid people have the same freedom.

So you're either for freedom or you're with the idiots.

You are correct when you say political correctness is an insult, but it does not mean that someone is a dick head, it means a person subscribes to a certain a social and political belief system that stifles debate and discussion. Political correctness is liberal closed mindedness.

They very act of apologizing for the cartoons is cow-taoing, the only proper thing to say is that it is free speech get use to it. We will defend our right to say whatever the hell we want when ever we want and if you don't like having your religion desparaged by certain quaters wihtin the press then this probably is not the place for you.

If just by printing a few cartoons muslims go crazy in the street the only question I have is why didn't we print them sooner.

It is another thing to carry placards that say things like Europe get ready for your 9-11 or get ready for your real holocaust. While people are free to express such things they condoning acts of violence, the government should be free to also take down the persons name who decided to hold up the sign and then if they are an illegal immigrant or their visa is close to expiring promptly ship them out of the country because they are a threat to public good.

Saying someone is being PC is actually away of saying that someone is being closed minded.

It should be an open debate about how violent muslims can be that was actually why the cartoons were printed it was not saying they were violent just asking the question. The muslim answer to the question? Violence.

It is up to muslims to prove they are nonviolent and peaceful. We should in no way stifle the debate about how millions upon millions of muslims around the world appear to be crazy and violent and have set their minds up to wage war against everything that we value.

Well closed minded i'm not, but I think some of my views are considered PC and that is an insult, perhaps I should go and burn some buildings

I know our foreign secretary has appologised, confusingly, for what the danish paper printed. Very odd indeed and I accept that is cow-taoing, but from what I know so far I don't think the editors have apologised so good for them. The French one was sacked for his trouble, although I suspect you don't like the French much.

When I saw the woman holding the placard which said the holocaust is comming, I felt sad then scared then amused then just numb. Surely she would be one of the ones in grave danger if this were to come about. She should be careful what she wishes for.

The mock suicide bomber is a convicted cocain/heroin dealer so I'm sure his god is very pleased with him.

2 pro free speech protesters were arrested but none of the pro terrorism ones were. Very disturbing as now we are left with the knowledge that our 'system' is all double standards.

I've said before that I may in the future change my mind on the issue, and to see many muslims protesting about what is essentially their own freedom does sway me in the direction that it is a culture of brainwashing. I'm not convinced yet though and I'm not PC.

Just some points.

The French guy who was sacked, his paper was owned by an Egyptian Copt who said something like his head should be delivered on plate to restore muslim pride, or some such nonsense (I know Copts are Christian).

The mock suicide bomber would make a good candidate to be a real one, by blowing himself up in Jihad against unbelievers he would be redeemed by Allah. I remember awhile back when husband in Gaza tried to force his wife to blow herself up because she had an affair. Blowing oneself up is a quick ticket to redemption.

I do not think it is culture of brain washing it is more that within Islam their are many beliefs that are the exact opposite of what we value in the West.

It’s all the product of the human ability to over-generalise, a bunch of faulty perception, coupled with some people that have a fanatical belief system. Who are making the greatest error of all, thinking ‘everyone is in it together’ – mainly because of the idea of religion or the nation state.. My tribe v your tribe, it’s nothing new. I don’t like tribes, which is why I avoid being a sheep at every opportunity, you only get boxed or manipulated in the end, make up your own minds. The liberal elite love this, most of the professions they tend to come from love to box people into convenient little groups so they can get their heads round some of the problems, the result is a lot of silly rules and ideas, such as removing the crosses of hot cross buns, just in case someone gets offended, even though they haven’t asked whether they might be. Good intentions those, which are, well, just very insulting. The BNP just play on this, its two sides of a very bad penny.

As for the media, they just report the news, add a bit of opinion and spin and screw it up, the same as the rest of us. It's nothing new, even the BBC can be insulting.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('eastbay', 'J')ayBee,

Chill JB... Eli was joking...lol... dry sarcasm against true believers in the pc madness.

Sorry, hard to tell sometimes.

Here is an example of double-standards from the BBC.

BBC site guilty of 'cringeing'

Before 9/11 we rarely heard anything about Islam on TV and radio. Now there is something about it every single day. It is generally the Liberals who run TV and radio. I feel as though I am being brainwashed all the time.

"And now a programme on Islam", "Here are your Lotto numbers read by a transvestite", "Here is the news... about Islam" and "Now a programme about what gay men do."

I'll stick to using my TV (television) for watching Bogart movies. He was a real man and would shoot gays and slap mullahs in the chops if he had to.
