Panoche Politics

The subject in the restaraunt yesterday was sex (again  ). A reasonably good looking woman can get laid any time she wants to was what my coworkers were saying. For guys, it's a game of jumping through hoops and trying to score, but the girls, with their panoches, just have to say the word and they can have it (verga). My offering to the conversation was to recount an old Saturday Night Live skit with Gilda Radner based on a crass TV wine commercial in which a woman calls up a guy she knows and says that she's got a bottle of X wine and would he like to come over and join her? In the skit, Gilda calls a guy and asks real seductive like, but he says no. So she calls another guy, again the answer is no. A couple more calls and no takers. So she leans out her window and yells to a wino on the street, "Hey, you!, wanna come up an' have some wine?"

I think that was actually Bailey's Irish Cream, not wine. They used to a run a commercial where a beautiful woman signalled her intentions by calling up a man and asking if he wanted to come over for some Bailey's.

Yeah, that's the ticket! Wow, Leanan, you have a very good memory. That must have been twenty five years ago or more.
