$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'W')ell this is all fine and grand. Do I wait for the raccoons to get my chickens or the feds?

Does it matter? If either are threatening you or your property accordingly, isn't that what the shotgun is for? Treat them as the threats they are.

Let's Augment Government Surveillance

Unread postby PenultimateManStanding » Tue 10 Jan 2006, 21:12:20

Probably alot of those guys in the oppressive branch read this site already. The more the better, right? We want those elements to know all about this so here's the way to get their attention, use the buzzwords for internet surveillance to get them to read our site; how about these: COCAINE SHIPMENT * DYNAMITE * AL QAEDA * GEORGE SOROS * CIA * WACO * RUBY RIDGE * SUPER BOWL * BIN LADEN. You get the idea.

Any terrorists who might be using this open forum to send secret messages to their coordinates using an encryptation system would be unbeknownst to me.

Prepare for transmission of cryptic message:

Man. Knows. Teddy. Robinson. Came. Ashore.

~~ End of transmission.

That will baffle them for months.
What will arrive first? Peak Oil or the Second Coming? My money is now on the latter.

Nobody wants to participate in this experiment, except Lokutus. I can understand that, who wants to see the guys in the black Chevy Suburbans? Even though, it's obviously not actionable as it is merely a gag. Still, I'm curious if words such as these posted here actually do get noticed?

PMS- NO WAY JOSE!

I will share a insight with you. I have discovered If you print this item below, you will breifly triple your broadband and gain amazing internet speed. [smilie=new_usa.gif]

If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.

I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

From the lakes of Minnesota,
to the hills of Tennessee.
Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Houston,
and New York to L.A.
Well there's pride in every American heart,
and its time we stand and say.

That I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

And I’m proud to be and American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

So long, Lokutus. This was one of a number of funny posts you contributed. Now we'll never know what this cryptic message was all about.

THE Surveillance Thread

Unread postby mekrob » Tue 28 Feb 2006, 19:54:37

Are we? Do you think so? It's been going through my mind a little lately. I've been thinking of distancing myself from PO and its thought completely if not a whole lot as the government seems to be gaining more and more powers and could easily monitor this site and those who visit it. Has anyone else?

Of course you are being watched. You are being videod every time you walk down the street or drive your car. Your bank and credit card records are scrutinized by the government. The NSA monitors which websites you visit, what e-mails you send and recieve. Everytime you go in a store, in addition to being videod, all of your purchases are linked to your name for analysis by that little shoppers club card that gives you $0.17 off on a gallon of milk. Thousands of corporations are passing around lists with your name, your address, your phone number, your email, and your buying habits. Equifax and several other corporations are right now compiling a database about you and probably know more details about your life than your own mother. If you've ever worked for the federal government, been in the military, been arrested, or had a handgun permit then the FBI has copies of your fingerprints in a computer file. If you've been in the military or been arrested recently, they probably also have your DNA on file.

and that's just the stuff you know about.

Yes. Your every move is absolutely being watched. Do they care that you know about Peak Oil. Probably not right now.

And they probably won't care unless they note that you've got something the neo's in power want, like gold, money, assets, cult following, etc.

After reading smallpoxgirl's post, it makes me realize that when the electric power goes out the loss of all that data will be one really good thing.

We probably aren't being watched. Not unless you use words like "bomb" "jihad" or "secret mission" in your postings. A tinfoil hat will deflect the orbital mind control lasers.

Seriously though, I don't think anyone should stop looking at or posting to this site just because NSA, CIA, MI5, ASIO etc. are having a look in. We're not doing anything wrong - are we?

That's not the question you should be asking. The real question is "Would somebody imagine we are a threat to them".
