I got off the train from the city this afternoon and made the short walk over to the Borders. Much of what I know about peak oil has come off this site, so I thought I'd pick up one of the experts' books on it to learn some more. About a week and a half ago, the ecology shelf had approx. five or six books peak oil books on it. However, I didn't have my wallet on me at them, so I couldn't make a purchase. Much to my dismay, when I approached the shelf today, they were nearly all gone! The only one left was Paul Roberts' "End of Oil", which is in hardcover and the most expensive.
I doubt they would have put all those books on the reduced price section. They weren't moved to another section; at least according to the search kiosk.
Is it simply a coincidence? Or is public interest in the subject increasing?
