$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'C')hris Cuddeback, 30, an employee at a local car dealership, said the prices have affected his habits, however. He has a hard time getting his friends to chip in for gas on weekends, so he has cut back on his driving.

He also notices his budget getting a bit tighter in the last few days before payday, leaving him at times with a choice between putting gas in the tank or supporting his cigarette habit.

"The cigarettes win over the gas," he said. "But they'll both kill me eventually."

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'b')ut if things got serious enough, is it inconceivable that the American public would actually realize that it is in their own interest to reduce their excessive consumption? I think how this plays out will have an immense impact on the whole PO situation...

That is a reallly interesting point. I think that when they started outlawing tobacco there was a general shift in perception. it went from being socially acceptable to disgusting.

PO however, would be different because of a couple of things.
1) the modern suburb has made gas consumption a necessary evil. its too much a part of modern life.
2) instead of having a perceptual shift away from consumption to conservation, I think it more likely that people will follow this change kicking and screaming.

They won't like it and will blame everyone, but its such a necesary evil (a concentrated for of freedom to many that now replaces constitutional freedom) that they will pay outrageous prices and not think that cutting back is a viable alternative, until they absolutely have to. Comments?

Let's have a break and smoke!

Unread postby Selena » Wed 09 Nov 2005, 00:11:07

8) Sometimes during my working day I feel a wild desire to have a cup of coffee with my favourite cigarette...
But when you buy tobacco products in ordinary way you have to pay taxes twice: origin country taxes and destination country taxes. When you find your favorite brand on internet, order is shipped as quickly as possible. Online shop is focused on providing clients with tobacco products available at the lowest possible everyday prices. Marlboro cigarettes are only $14.95 per carton! Most premium brands are available. You can benefit from cheap cigarette prices. http://www.mcity4.com

cigars > cigarettes

although eclipse cigs are awesome. the health benefits are questionable, but the concept is brilliant and they hardly smell at all, which is really neat.

I like to smoke a pipe (cavendish type blends) and imported cigars, however my wife hates them both so I only get to sneak them once in a while or else get a very cold shoulder.

6 year old daughter came to me 4 months ago and said she wanted me to be alive to see her children.
Haven't had a craving since.
Damn weight though. Got to work on this next.

Tobacco is just another legal drug used by THE MAN to enslave us.

Nope. Never have, probably never will. I can't stand the smell, I imagine the taste is horrendous.

It's hard for me to imagine cigarettes tasting good. To me cigarettes smell really horrible. What's it like when you first started smoking. Did it start tasting good straight away, or do you have to get over a bad taste at first?

The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.

I grew up with grandparents who were big smokers. My grandfather smoked a pipe and cigars. My grandmother smoked cigarettes. My father smoked cigarettes. So the smell of tobacco smoke- especially pipe smoke was warm and natural.

My father gave up smoking in his thirties. Two factors played a part in this. One was the incident where he was talking on the phone in his office in Wash DC when he burned his hand while trying to light a cigarette. The matchbook caught fire.

The other reason was that I had started coming home with the smell of tobacco on my clothes. He figured he was setting a bad example.

I experimented with smoking as a teenager, but really, all I did was cough. That didn't look very cool.

Then I decided to start running, that was in the early 70's when not many people were running yet. I wanted to lose some weight, and the running was very effective. After that, it didn't seem to make sense to do something that was really good for me while also smoking, so I dropped the cigarettes.

I was just curious how many people on here smoke and how long have you have been smoking.

Also how much money do you think the government has made off the sale of cigerettes and other tobacco products?

No, but have a few cartons of pall malls for barter.

Also don't drink, but have a few cases of Jack and Jim for pain and barter.
