My 17 year old daughter called me today from school, and wanted to know about something I had told her about how the price of gas would most definitely rise to 4 and 5 dollars a gallon. Well, she had just woken me up from a nap, so my head was still foggy, and had forgotten that I originally got the numbers from a CNN report, but she was asking for a website for her and her class to do research with, so I suggested peakoil.com.

She is in flags, and was getting ready to go to an 'away' game, so was in a rush, but did give me a wink, and a 'thanks mom' before she bipped out on her way back to school, so I guess ya'll were pretty helpful! I am looking forward to having a longer convo about it when I see her next, which won't be until Sunday, unfortunately, as she is spending tonight with friends, and then tomorrow with my folks to go horseback riding.

Why, why, for hell's sake WHY!? Wait a minute...at least it wasn't Savinar's site. Still, she's going to know all about P.O. now...

I always tell myself everyone knows about it, they just don't realize it. Still, realizing they know about it is just as traumatic. At least it was for me.

My daughter visits the site regularly, but has her head screwed on tight. I was more thinking of giving some food for thought for people who haven't even gotten the word about Peak Oil.

What people do with the site is up to them, but at least at least 20 odd people, including three teachers now have the knowledge. What they choose to do with it is their business.

I would not have recommended the site if I didn't think that, with a few exceptions (mine being possibly among them. ) the people here don't have their heads screwed on tight. As a matter of fact, I am impressed by the number of professionals here who speak in level headed terms, and that it is mostly 'chicken littles' like myself that add to the level of 'doomerosity'.
