A scenario and some open questions

Suppose you are an alien from a culturally and spiritually superior race. Your planet is in a state of world peace, with ecological harmony and technology beyond all but the imagination of human beings. Suppose you have been carefully monitoring planet Earth and the human race from an undetectable location for the past 200 years. What would your summary of the human race be? Would you or would you not decide to make contact with humans? For what reasons?
