We can't afford to miss the following:

"To boldly go where no man has gone before" (split infinitive)

and also

"One small step for A man, one giant leap for mankind"

New Zealanders are truely appalling in their use of "is".

"Is there any cakes left?" (cakes=plural, should be "Are")

Please please please,

Sergeant

And most definately not "Sarge"

There are three types of "sarge":

(a) dressage
(b) massage
(c) sausage (you have to pronounce it sos-sarge to work)

Finally, I get to point this out:
Your is not equal you’re!!

You’re = you are. “You’re a fool.”
Your = indicating a possession. “Your car is inefficient.”

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('rogerhb', 'W')e can't afford to miss the following:

"To boldly go where no man has gone before" (split infinitive)

There is nothing wrong with a split infinitive! This was decided to be a mistake by people trying to apply Latin grammar rules to English, which is not even logical because English is a Germanic language. Also, some will argue that the "to" is a preposition and not a part of the infinitive. (since "to" is used in the infinitive with some modals and not others....compare "I can go" with "I want to go")
Il faut d'abord durer.

Agreed, yuk! Mama may be a pain in the ass, but you gotta love her. Dumping crap in her mouth is revolting. Or were you refering to spelling? (love you Mom, you're the only Mom I'll ever know, and you weren't half bad. I loved those stories you read to me by Frank L. Baum, they enriched me, your son.)

Far be it from me to correct anyones grammar, but I think then and than are the most highly mistaken words on the net.

I'd rather have pot than beer.

Only then can we walk to the pot patch. :-D

Yeah, those little ink blots befuddle me to no end. Is there a class that offers apostrophe and comma explanations? Is it obvious that English class put me to sleep?
