What would the impact be?

Unread postby Scalar » Sat 03 Sep 2005, 14:31:18

Let's say that the big one were to hit L.A. or S.F. now, what would the impact be to the economy how would that add to the already strained fuel supplies?

"The Big One" has already hit...New Orleans...

It's a humongous blow that many people have not realized the true import of yet.

No, the OP is asking what if a big earthquake, which as far as we can tell are totally random, were to hit a major city in California?

I think it would be a Great Depression 2, and I don't have much of anywhere to go to, if I survived at least there's some natural water here, and much less oppressive heat than in NO. But it would be interesting to say the least, at least I don't have any moral compunctions against eating rat or pigeon. I'd probably just want to get the fuck out, and GTFO as soon as I could, in light of how things have deteriorated in NO while waiting for help to arrive and some form of structure to reform. It's put what fits in a messenger bag and git. Because right after, ppl will be in a daze and not inclined to stop me, but give it a few hours or a day and it gets different.

Well, If the big one hits California. No problem!

California would slide off into the ocean. So the lose in oil supply would be off set by oil demand.
Peace out!
