The subject title, POed, means pissed off, and I don't mean drunk. People are getting mad. There will be some political fallout from these escalating prices, as Colin Campbell and others have pointed out. Tempers are getting short, and it seems that there is more aggressive driving these days as well. Has anyone else observed this?

After looking at a sampling of messages on the AOL News message boards, well, all I can say is there are a lot of people pissed off at the higher prices of gasoline. And they are completely clueless.

I'm appreciating my Honda Insight more each day...

My colleagues were talking about fuel protests and how they should do something to force those evil oil companies and governments to lower the prices.

I suggested them to boycott the gas stations and not to drive their cars for a week as a form of protest.

Oh Boy, you should have seen their reactions. It made my week :-D

yeah...it will probably be a frequent occurence for most of us.

Speaking of which... i wonder if you can transfer electricity from a hybrid battery to another somehow.

The chapest place in town is now at $2.51. Most places are $2.59. It's probably a good thing I filled up today, before the price went up even more. It cost $49.36 to fill up my car today. I could get a complete tank for $30.00 just 2 years ago. It's already to the point that I now only have $100 left over at the end of the month. :( At long as it stays below $4.268 a gallon, I can afford it. :)

What I think is strange, is today I started fueling, and I didn't even know how much regular unleaded gas was. I pumped about 10 gallons, and I wondered how much I was paying, so I had to look at the pump to see the cost of fuel. It didn't even occur to me to look at the price as I pulled up to the pump. :lol:

A co-worker of mine was complaining about the gas prices. I told him gas was cheap right now compared to whats its gonna be. I told him, we'd see $3.00 a gallon gas soon enough.

He said gas wouldn't go up that much. :lol: :lol: :lol:
