')They had a BIG FUGGIN python snake living nearby.
Guess who dug up the den and DRAGGED THE SNAKE OUT BY HIS TAIL?
The aid workers. The "hard working" locals stood around. They did back up a bit when the snake came out.
We have BIG FUGGIN grizzly bears and cougars around here. We would not be terribly impressed by aid workers dragging them out by their tails.

Man, I dunno about you but if anyone had the danglin steel pair to pull a grizzly or cougar out by the tail I'd be MOST impressed!!

My point was, we sort of like our native fauna, fangs and claws and all (they hardly ever eat anyone, except excessively outdoorsy types). I imagine the Africans feel the same way about their pythons.

You probably have trouble understanding this. Imagine if foreign aid workers came in and shot all your your Kansas gophers. How would you feel about that?

A few points....
1) The python wasnt killed, it was moved. They had a problem with it eating the local animals (Sheep, goats, chickens, hell I dunno)

2) I understand what you mean about randomly killing things. The snake wasnt killed

3) Gophers / Praire dogs are varmints. You wont heart anything with half a brain complain about a guy shooting as many as he possibly can. I only say that so you know if the future that makes a bad example.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Specop_007', 'A')ctually, I was. I'm busy every weekend.
It plays hell with my schedule. :(

Point? I've stated we (being we here, we Americans, whatever) organzie and clean up our area.

Why havent the people in the pic posted?
Maybe it was "PRIVATE PROPERTY, NO TRESPASSING". Or maybe the people were working 7/12 in sweatshops making Nike shoes and didn't have a lot of quality time to spare for volunteer cleanups.

Your grasping at straws man.
But since we've gone from the realm of plausible to fiction I'd like to play too.

That is actually an abandoned mining camp on Mars. No one lives there anyways. They mined out all the Tiberium and have since moved on.

I mean, is their any wildlife you don't want to exterminate (including those that depend on eating gophers)?

But not you personally.

I've driven your highways. The Coke and Coors cans sparkling in the sunset off to the horizon. And the bullet-riddled traffic signs. And I've accidently turned into neighborhoods which look like the pic you posted, and which have no parks like Loose Park. Felt very uncomfortable until I got back on the freeway.

Oh man..... Lemme think....
About the only thing I want to exterminate are mosquitos. I hate those damned things.
Otherwise, I dont want to exterminate anything. I dont know why you would asume that I do. I'm a huge hunting supporter, that alone should tell you I believe in conservation.

Nope, not me personally. I'm not seeing the point here?
Are you meaning ever, or recently? I have been involved in community projects, just not recently due to my as stated schedule.

Really.
Where. I didnt know you lived in KC, lets go have a beer sometime.

But it goes right back to what I said. My point is people dont have to live in filth. YOU can CHOOSE not to live like that. Thats been my point the entire time.
You dont HAVE to live in filth and trash.

Why the hell are you even argueing? Your own links prove what I've said!QCommunity cleanup projects are people who've chosen not to live in trash and have taken action to correct the problem.
Your supporting my argument! I assume you agree with what I say then?

Well, it was a few years ago. You no longer have trash-littered minority slums and can-littered highways? I should go back to visit America the Beautiful. Can you see across the Grand Canyon through the California smog now? Has someone hauled away the piles of trash at the viewpoints?

Yes
Come visit
Dunno, wasnt a problem when I was there.
See above.

You've comkpletely misunderstood what I'm saying.

People can choose how they want to live. We still have ghettos that are pretty dirty. Doesnt bother me, theres nothing there I need. I dont live there, i dont go there. If they choose to live in filth then let them, it only displays their own ignorance and laziness.

I'm saying you can determine how you want to live. I dont want to live surrounded by filth. Guess what? I dont!
Some dont care. Guess what? They do!
