Well I never thought much of him anyway, just a greedy old fat man trying to improve his lot by going into politics. It's true that after he was elected lots of bank money came in to stabilize his debt woes but the state of the last is probably going to be a lot worse than the state of the former.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'N')EW YORK, August 16. 2023 /TASS/. Former US President Donald Trump and other suspects in the Georgia election meddling case should voluntarily turn themselves in at the Fulton County jail, where they will be formally arrested... searched, fingerprinted and have their mugshots taken.

indicted former US President Donald Trump and a number of his lawyers, assistants, staffers of his campaign headquarters and local Republican party members in the case of attempting to seek a review of the results of the 2020 presidential election. De-facto, they are suspected of setting up an organized group that tried to overturn the results of the polls.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Rule #1 Don't fight the system, don't even 'pretend' to fight it.

I am not Trump's biggest critic, of his Presidency. But he really lost it with the election, I think he drank his own Kool aide. Power, or fame, went to his head.

I am extremely dissatisfied with both likely Presidential candidates. And 3rd parties get exactly zero air time in the US.

Not feeling real good about here about now.

Third parties can't win in our system, they just doom whomever they happen to be closest too policy wise. If we had a popular vote election with a run off, things would be very different.

I do wonder how all the criminal charge stuff is going to play out. Does Trump really show up at the Fulton County Jail and turn himself in? Hard to imagine that happening, or what the ramifications of it might be.

Can he still be elected if he's in jail????!!!!!!

If Trump is out, then who runs as the Republican nominee? All the others are like 10% or lower in the poles. How do you pick a candidate that 90% of the party doesn't support?

ugh.

Not even touching the D side, though I think its clear Biden will be the anointed one.

RJF jr vs DeSantis would have been a true, honest, proposition of competing policies. Just won't happen.
Yes we are, as we are,
And so shall we remain,

The 2020 US election had the highest voter turnout in over a century, around 62%.

What were the other 38% doing? Obviously they were ignoring the whole $hit$how. Can't blame them, I don't vote and that's in a nation where voting is compulsory.

There are viable alternatice R candidates but first Trump has to go.

And I do believe he can serve from jail, nothing baring that.

There is something in the 14th amendment about breaching security or some such but for a State crime, nothing. AFAIK.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')rump promises to end the war in Gaza

Well why not, he's going to save crypto and all the rest but this one sounds like an easy promise to keep, look at his track record with N-Korea. Of course nothing changed up there but at least the insane nuclear Armageddon stories stopped and the military probably had to redirect some funds elsewhere. Gaza though has to end sometime and if he could coordinate it he'd be a big hero. He's a bit like Elon Muck, just older and less poised.

Perhaps the deal will include packing the gazarites off to greener pastures? Surely they must be over that place by now, it's nothing but a sliver of desert. The only reason they stayed there and bred up no doubt was their manic religious hatred of the Jews. Now many of them will be thinking twice.

This next election or the one after will likely see the federal government facing the inevitable bankruptcy brought on by the exponential debts. 36T, and 1T in interest now. It's exponential with a doubling time of around 10 years https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-QA2rkpBSY

7T in 2002, 14T in 2012, 30T in 2022. But now it's increasing, why? The interest is an increasing factor being added. The interest is being covered by new borrowings.

Image

Of course the government can't go bankrupt, yet, so it will simply monetize the problem and cut back on Social Security spending etc, etc.

Trends associated?
Theft, from stores, is already so bad many are closing. What will it be like in 10 years? So many intractable problems, just growing and growing. The world is certainly about to pass through a great Gate in history where major changes will occur. The last gate, though a desperate struggle for a free world, was followed by 70 odd years of prosperity and peace for most Westerners, all courtesy of cheap oil. But, after we pass through this current gate, there will be no cheap oil to rebuild with. To rebuild the roads, the factories, everything. $this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', ' ')Not all of the oil below ground will ever be pumped out. Long before an oil field runs completely dry, the oil contained within it becomes so difficult or expensive to pump that it takes more than a barrel of oil’s worth of energy to pump out one barrel. Even at peak, there will be plenty of oil left in the ground.
The music is about to stop and then the mayhem will begin.

"At the end of the Roman era, the general economic crisis destroyed the small and medium sized country estates and favoured the formation of a limited number of large villae, an expression of a strong concentration of agrarian property. Their proprietors left the city to move onto their land, where... they regained all the authority which they had lost in the deterioration of the political system.” https://www.pricevaluepartners.com/power-crisis/

Bush bought huge tracts of farmland in Paraguay or somewhere, Gates has been accumulating farmland hand over fist and many others are too no doubt. Why? Far from the mayhem of the city, guaranteed food supply, easier to defend because of the lower population. The real question is are you going to left behind in the city at the end of empire, or are you going to be out in the countryside in a place of relative security? You don't have to Own a large estate, just be near one and the security it affords.

Update on the Presidency:

For those living in the land of the free and the home of the brave the last 4 years must have seemed somewhat dystopian. While many were getting on with the business of a daily grind and many were trying to eek out an existence on a government pension there has been quite a few changes brought about at the Federal level. Rampant inflation of the currency supply (covid measures among them) and subsequent rampant inflation in food and all else. Tens of millions of illegal immigrants have been brought into the nation, untold hundreds of billions wasted on the ukrainian conflict and untold more trying to force businesses and consumers into transitioning to electric cars and renewable energy.

All this was overseen by a man who can't string a sentence together or walk across a stage without tripping over his own feet. A retard by any measure. The fact that he was voted in by a majority of American voters only adds insult to the injury. But it wouldn't have mattered either way because the same retarded measures were enacted across the rest of the western world, and one can't blame the pedophile-in-chief for all of that. Trump played his part in the years before, hyping the Covid scare measures, doing little to stop the egregious waste of money. Whatever positive things he did achieve while in office were overshadowed by the business as usual bullshit that keeps Americans enslaved to the banks and medical industrial complex.

Now he's back in the hot seat and the rhetoric is for big change. DOGE, the Department of government efficiency. What will that achieve? The gutting of beneficial federal spending no doubt. The trillion dollar War machine won't be included in that but reduced pension will no doubt. The US federal government has basically reached the point where it can't keep expanding it's debts exponentially and that means it MUST reduce it's spending. So Trump is simply the asset-in-place to oversee this and take the inevitable blame for it. Stopping illegal immigration? Well it had to stop one day didn't it. Sending them back? Yeah, as if. And in this he's no brave visionary either because politicians all over the EU have been saying the same thing for ages and are now actively speaking of how it will be done. Sweden and Germany foremost in this since they are the foremost nation being destroyed from within by their radical muslim populations. They will never root them out now, they are there to stay.

So the "Make America Great" campaign was just another election promise doomed to failure and all those who dutifully voted for him will become more and more disillusioned as the years unfold and their personal living standards decline. The Federal government is a captured entity just like the FDA and the all it's agencies. It exists to keep the masses in order and to make profits for the Banks and corporation blocks, which if you look on their books all hold large blocks of shares in each other. Then of course there are the privately held companies, that few know anything about and yet who make make up the bulk of the mega wealthy families in the nation. These all own a share of the Federal government too and collectively they grow fat and shiny off the labor and purchases of the average americans looking up to the Federal politicians to protect them and give them a decent life.

Balancing public perception is the key. Keeping them down while maximizing profits is not an easy task. Be too greedy and you'll kill the golden goose and lead a revolution. That's why it "seems" that the government is on your side, even though you get poorer year by year. The system has been in place for hundreds of years and is a well oiled machine now with average citizen having no idea that it's in place. Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has an estimated net worth of more than $240 million, and that's just what's on the books! What about Cayman Island accounts? What about insider trading tips? When you rub shoulders and dine with the nations elite, when you pass legislation that benefits these "friends", you get kickbacks. She has essentially been a consultant for the rich and famous and Trump is no different.

In December 2007, Money Magazine estimated Obama's net worth at $1.3 million. Today? over 70 Million. In 2019, the Obamas purchased a house on Martha's Vineyard for $11.75 million. This stunning property features a 7,000-square-foot main house and spans 29 acres right by the ocean. Not bad hey, must be a good investor...

Zuckerberg rebrands himself, no longer an arsehole

Image

Yes, he is abandoning WOKE and putting META on a new "We The People" footing. He is doing this because he loves you and wants you to love him like you love Elon musk.

Inside Mark Zuckerberg’s Sprint to Remake Meta for the Trump Era

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'L')ast month, Mr. Zuckerberg, the chief executive of Meta, tapped a handful of top policy and communications executives and others to discuss the company’s approach to online speech. He had decided to make sweeping changes after visiting President-elect Donald J. Trump at Mar-a-Lago over Thanksgiving. Now he needed his employees to turn those changes into policy.

By New Year’s Day, Mr. Zuckerberg was ready to go public with the changes, according to four current and former Meta employees and advisers with knowledge of the events, who were not authorized to speak publicly about the confidential discussions.

The entire process was highly unusual. Meta typically alters policies that govern its apps — which include Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Threads — by inviting employees, civic leaders and others to weigh in. Any shifts generally take months. But Mr. Zuckerberg turned this latest effort into a closely held six-week sprint, blindsiding even employees on his policy and integrity teams.

On Tuesday, most of Meta’s 72,000 employees learned of Mr. Zuckerberg’s plans along with the rest of the world. The Silicon Valley giant said it was overhauling speech on its apps by loosening restrictions on how people can talk about contentious social issues such as immigration, gender and sexuality. It killed its fact-checking program that had been aimed at curbing misinformation and said it would instead rely on users to police falsehoods. And it said it would insert more political content into people’s feeds after previously de-emphasizing that very material.

In the days since, the moves — which have sweeping implications for what people will see online — have drawn applause from Mr. Trump and conservatives, derision from fact-checking groups and misinformation researchers and concerns from L.G.B.T.Q. advocacy groups that fear the changes will lead to more people getting harassed online and offline.

On Friday, Meta’s makeover continued when the company told employees it would end its work on diversity, equity and inclusion. It eliminated its chief diversity officer role, ended its diversity hiring goals that called for the employment of a certain number of women and minorities, and said it would no longer prioritize minority-owned businesses when hiring vendors.

Mr. Zuckerberg, 40, has regularly spoken to friends and colleagues, including Marc Andreessen, the venture capitalist and Meta board member, about concerns that progressives are policing speech, the people said. He has also felt railroaded by what he views as the Biden administration’s anti-tech posturing, and stung by what he sees as progressives in the media and in Silicon Valley — including in Meta’s work force — pushing him to take a heavy hand in policing discourse, they said.

Meta declined to comment.

Reddit reported revenues of $348.4 million for 2024
Meta reported revenues of $40.59 billion

The Inauguration, Out of sight on the right is elon muck, all the billionaires at the trough, Make American Billionaires Greater Again. I can't wait for the first year to pass, for that stunned mullet look to come to the faces of the American public when they realize "Nothing has fundamentally changed" That they are actually worse of financially than ever. By then the Democratic party will have re-invented itself and put forward a Hero of the people, one who promises to bring stability and progress to the nation. Then like dutiful slaves the public will shift and vote them in.

Well even though I'm an Australian, and live in Queensland, which was her base in the 2000's election era, I never voted for them because I don't vote. She was an inept politician, but she was outside the "swamp" and a shakeup of the order was what many people wanted. Her voter base wasn't just rural old men, if that was the case her party never would have gotten so many seats. She was a real contender for a future Prime Minister and that is why they jailed her. She wasn't under control by the corporations and the Global Order.

You've just been feeding on the mass media spin about her, the same tripe that keeps the average voter enslaved to the two party system. Until a person extricates themselves from the political round-a-bout they will never be free. Will always be looking up to those puppets to have their lives improved. Shun Government and all of a sudden you realize you are free! You don't have to follow all their dictates, you can chart your own course in life.

Most taxes are unjust and should not be paid (easily done)
Most government regulations are BS and can easily be skirted
And importantly, most government mandated retirement wealth schemes are a scam and will see you in the poor house eventually. Either poor or fretting over accounts wondering where your life savings are melting.

None of this can be understood by a voter though, by a TV junkie. First you have to unplug from the Matrix, then all refinement follows. The governments of the Western World are constructing a Giant factory farm for all their citizen/consumers. An extension of the Covid lockdowns, which was a test case to see how people reacted to being held in pens, to refine the methods.

To abolish the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and for other purposes.

https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-con ... ll/86/text

President Donald Trump has conceded consumers may suffer “pain” from his sweeping tariffs on goods from the US’s three biggest trading partners but insists it will be worth it, while hitting back at criticism from economists and orthodox Republicans.

I wonder how this is going to make America great again for the poor downtrodden who voted for him.
