This is an example of why I wish and think the government should be offering some tax credits to install some EV chargers in gas stations (with proper safety precautions/regulations, of course).
During the transition from ICE to BEV, the amount of such nonsense in many scenarios is just beyond stupid in areas where there aren't many (reliably) nearby charging stations, to avoid the need for such madness.
But I know, at least in the US, expecting the government to lead, even for the obvious, by example or common sense, much less sensibly looking ahead re policy is like pissing into the wind, more often than not.

Given the track record of the perma-doomer blogs, I wouldn't bet a fast crash doomer's money on their predictions.
