Do men or women use more oil?

That is an impossible question to answer with quantitative data but just for discussion what do you think?

I would say women.

At face value you would think men since they love cars, boats, aircraft, and stuff which is mechanical.

BUT

I think women use more overall because they have more power in decision making in the home economy which is the largest chunk of the economy (the consumer portion). Women have more stuff like clothes, makeup, 8 black shoes, etc. Some also love big SUVs while some decide to make their girlfriends green with envy buying a big house in a new suburb which was deforested and raped wildlife.

I think I am posting this because I found out about a guy I know going bankrupt tonight. He was making about 45 grand a year and his wife nagged him to buy a house in a fancy area which they could not afford. Then she made him bu her a new car. This summer she wanted a vacation. When he got back his bills added up and assets were less than liabilities.

Similar thing happened to a guy I know, his wife nagged him into bigger houses, newer cars etc. Then, when he could provide no more, she dumped him for another man.

Now he's broke with nowhere to live, she's doing just fine.

Guess what? She drove the brand new hulking SUV whilst he had an old runabout.

Life's a female dog and all that! :lol:

Hardly evidence that women are somehow responsible for the reckless consumption we see today, but it doesn't look good. Barbara, Jodi et al please tell us not all women are like this!!

Don't forget, women are less efficient drivers, as well. Plus they have to drive to multiple supermarkets, in order to use all their "10¢ off" coupons. And they wear far more spandex than men.

Well, there are not too many women on this board. About the only thing I have to say is you guys need to not be such wimps and stand up to us more and just say NO when we demand all the things you say we demand.
