Well I don't think that I can convince any of you elders that you did indeed buy into the consumption culture hook line and sinker and then passed it onto us like a genetic disease. You had a choice, and you chose the blue pill.
Indeed every species hits its carrying capacity. But aren't we supposed to be different? Aren't we supposed to be 'smarter?'
As my username implies, I am clearly playing the devil's advocate (in the previous paragraph). The purpose is to show you that everything we believe about ourselves is deceiving.
But if we become aware that we were wrong about our intelligence, maybe we can truly become conscious, and evolve.
I'm not going to respond to every point made. As gego said, I do have priorities to deal with, and convicing a few senior citizens that they are gullible, literally to the point of idiocy, is no fun.
