http://healthfreedomusa.org/no/ $this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'C')ODEX ALIMENTARIUS (the official name of CODEX) is a set of legal codes for food standards. The purpose of CODEX is to control what type of foods people can eat and what types of supplements and health choices they can make.
Now why didn't I take the blue pill.

I think it's a great idea! Then I don't need to have to think about what to have for dinner. I can just grab my government menu and see what they have planned for me that evening.

One thing I know for sure is that the pharmaceutical corporations aren't behind this. The government is doing this for our own good, for our health.

I just started taking the new government medication required by law. I think it's great. I feel so relaxed now, and I feel like working all the time. When I'm off work all I can think about is shopping!

People are eating mad cows and genetically modified crops that have a high correlation between their consumption and various cancers, but they don't give a shit. First of all, the companies making the products lobby the government so they don't have to let people know what they're really eating, and afterwards any problems that arise are kept hush hush.

Just note how the US government has reacted to the mad cow problem, favoring the major agribusinesses instead of looking out for the safety of the American people, incinerating suspect cows attempting to cover them up, allowing companies to fire people at slaughterhouses who decide to come forward, and good old lying to the American public. The media doesn't help at all given that they are bought by those interests who want things kept quiet...

Britain acted on the problem in a reasonable time frame and over 100 people died with perhaps thousands more expected to die from mad cow disease later on down the road. America's not doing shit. Who knows what the future will hold. Wish I had the land to raise my own cattle, because I sure as hell like steak and I sure as hell don't trust what's on the store shelves. As they say, Nouvelle cuisine- tiny portions for rich republican oil men and Massachusettes elites who look French, and Shit- damned near poisonous dogshit for the rest of us.

There's already local places I go to for meat, when I can afford it at least. I'm not made of money so eating healthy food 100% of the time is a bit out of my price range, as much as I might try.

A lot of that ties into big agribusinesses lobbying BS regulations that put small farmers out of business, buying up all the small farms, and monopolizing the industry. Your choices is basically Monsanto or... Monsanto if you're poor, and if you have some money and the willingness to drive 50 miles out into nowhere in the middle of America's asscrack, you can get some good stuff. Farmers markets near my city are almost always cleared out, but they've got good quality and are trustworthy to a comfortable extent. A shame most of those farm subsidies go to the big corporations instead of the farmers that need them; OTOH, I'd prefer the subsidies be removed altogether and factory farms forced to pay for the pollution they generate to compensate for the damage it causes to the public's drinking water supply, air quality, and health costs. Would put factory farms out of business mighty quick if it came their turn to pay the piper.

Seldom_Seen could be right. Perhaps it will make our life easier. Good for you toecutter in trying to eat the right foods. I try to do the same for my family, but it is difficul to get access to the right foods and it's also expensive.

This is by design.

Just like they make it freaking impossible to recycle -- by design. If the people or the government cared even a little about this planet, then recycling would be integrated into our society. It pains me to go to a restaurant and to throw my recycable material into the trash. How complicated is it to to have recycling bins next to the trash cans? How difficult is it for the garbage men to also collect our recycables at the curb. I have to drive 30 mintes each way to do the recycling. And it's the only one in town. And I live in a major city -- Atlanta.

It must be by design to discourage recycling.

Sorry for the vent. But I am truely convinced the human species is insane.

$10 buys a LOT of rice, black beans, and onions. From there, add what you can afford that week. It doesn't always have to be meat. And if you have to choose between quantity and quality, you will never regret choosing quality. Just don't tell your neighbours: it's unAmerican :P

Thats just great - so what next? This spawns a black market trade in supplements, which then gets demonized in the media (some kid dies from niacin overdose and the talking heads scream fro days) then the inevitable "war on supplements".....

The CODEX has just been adopted by the EU. It's a shame for them but could be a boon to American's starting a mail order vitamin business.

I seriously doubt that the CODEX will be accepted or passed by the US Congress.

I begin to understand. Ya poor schmuck.

I currently live in a moderately sized city in the West. Our garbage trucks are followed shortly by the recycling truck. The city even supplies the different bins for glass, paper and plastic. We also have a waste to electricity plant the generates enough electricity for 10,000 homes. Soon we'll be on our farm where everything, included scrape and rotted food will be recycled. Even out there in the country the county leaves recycling dumsters at a road junction just 2 miles from our new farm.

I've always tried to be a good resident of planet earth, but the older I get the more I see through all the hype. When younger I would never, ever even think of tossing even a tiny scrap of paper or trash out my window but waited to properly dispose of it all. Past 10 years has just seen generations of conservation effort wasted as the country has become a huge dumpster from all the recent out of control immigration.
So I ask myself, whats the point anymore? The small deeds of the few are overwhelmed by the live-for-the-moment massive tidal wave of of humanity.
Why bother to recyle? Your waste bill is the same if you don't, and will the company lower your bill if you do? Hell no they wont / they play on your sense of eco duty while they keep all the profit . Especially bothersome is all the PR hype foisted on the us about conserving/ recycling. I say make the companies that benefit from recyling give the consumers immediate & tangible returns. Not some vague " costs will stay down pie in the sky mumbo jumbo " response.
I will actively recyle if & when the companies return a portion of the cash benefit they receive from my efforts. ( yeah, good luck with that)
Be it in monthly utilites rebates, or whatever. I'm sick of all the BS about " do this or that to lower your costs", then a month later the cable/ electric/ PG&E/or whatever monopoly raises rates with some manufactured excuse.
(Save the company money by less usage? Sorry consumers, we have to raise rates to cover lower income is the response).
These monopolys just rotate excuses to raise rates while reaping the benefits of their PR campaigns to save themselves even MORE money, all in the name of " good citizen activism".
When was the last time a price of a necessary item went DOWN ?
Lower utility bills by less megawatt? Lower Water bills? Cable ?
Cable really makes me laugh the most as all the consolidaton & takeovers in the 80s and 90's were supposed to be good for the consumer.
(Oh sorry, they need more money to pay for fiber optic upgrades)
Theres always a catch. always.

According to those that attended the most recent bilderberger meeting, Decemeber 31, 2009 was the date they wanted to have the NWO in place.

No wonder Greenspan and Snow aren't worried about SS, Medicare and Medicaid going belly up. Medicare will be bankrupt in 2008.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '
')CODEX in its completeness is intended to go into full effect on January 1, 2010, world wide. If we do nothing now, all our health freedoms will have been wiped out by that time.

Now why didn't I take the blue pill.
