It's pretty much mandatory to claim persecution in evangelical huckster circles - it provides instant street cred. It also solidifies the group identity to see themselves as persecuted.

Claiming to be persecuted is classic projection in the sense that the group agrees it is permissible for them to persecute others. If you want to read woeful tale of persecuted Christians, look up "The International Jew," an antisemitic tract published around 1920 about how the Jews were persecuting Christians. It sounds almost exactly like the complaints of today with only minor changes. A copy of the book was kept on the nightstand of that-german-guy-who-must-not-be-named.

The comments in that article are interesting because several people know what they are talking about, including that the horn would not have contained "soft tissue" even when the animal is alive.

BTW, the guy claiming he was fired was an electron microscopy technician, which doesn't make him an expert in other fields.

The Creationist comments are good because they go straight to Sharia law, homophobia, GMOs, chemtrails and other conspiracies. Although they are entertaining, people like that are also scary because they can be manipulated to do horrible things. Go to some of the sites where people like that flock for discussions of how "it" is going to happen and when "it" happens they will be able to kill other people without hesitation because of their perfect love of Christ.
