I love the wild rose here in Alberta - a pretty pink flower that grows all over the place, blooms in late June/early July. It's the provincial flower and reminds of all the beauty in Alberta. I have a wild rose bush in my backyard. And, Rose is my mom's name, so overall the moniker represents a few things I love.

It's just my first name, middle and last initials. I've been using it off and on for 15-20 years on message boards and such and even variations of it on commercial sites like banks and utilities. Mainly because when I use another user name I tend to forget it. :D And the w is there because there's a heck of a lot of joep's out there who tend to steal it before I can get it.

The avatar is sort of my first memory of oil use. There was a little Sinclair gas station on the corner and I, being a young boy in the 60's and fascinated by dinosaurs, always bugged my dad to get gas there so I could see Dino.

My father reluctantly would stop there even though the price was always 2 or 3 cents higher than the station down in the village. 22.9 to 19.9!
