I got to thinking this morning as I was shoveling the six inches of fresh snow out of my driveway. It didn't take long to observe that when I threw the snow on the near side of the five foot high pile it tumbled back down into the driveway erasing my efforts. On the other hand if I threw it just over the top of the snow peak it tumbled down the far side into the yard. Right now we are throwing money onto the peak of oil hoping that new oil will keep tumbling back down for us to use, but pretty soon no matter how carefully we throw it will be tumbling off the other side of the peak and get away from us before we realize our time is over.
Time to let go of all the fears and struggles of the eak period and let God work it out. Our struggles will no longer accomplish much for very long.

You can give up if you want, but some of us will keep fighting and looking for solutions until the end.
By the way....the solution to your problem with shoveling snow is to buy a snowblower. A snowblower will blast that snow far beyond the berm you've made by shoveling it up right along the edge.

Letting go of my worries and letting God deal with them has nothing to do with letting events run over me. As for the snow blower, sure that would be nice but as one of h long ter unemployed I can't ford to waste money on a convenience like that. Besides for the last ten years the average snowfall has only been three or our inches at a time, buying a snow blower for a once per decade need would be a really dumb waste of my lmited financial resources. If you want to swing by Ohio and clean up my driveway just let me know, I will even serve you a nice hot cup of coffee or tea in xchange

Thanks, thats a great offer but Ohio isn't on my list for my next trip, and I'm not sure I could get my snowblower to fit in the little overhead bin on the airplane anyway.
Here's another suggestion---if you can't afford to buy one then RENT a snowblower. I'm serious--- you find shovelling snow to be exhausting and so does everyone else. People have heart attacks all the time from shovelling snow----a friend of mine died shovelling out his driveway a few years back---and he wasn't very old either.
