$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('SilentRunning', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Plantagenet', 'N')ow the venerable leftist GUARDIAN newspaper in England is bashing peak oil---their environment editor just wrote "PEAK OIL HAS GONE UP IN FLAMES".....and........"the problem isn't that we have too little oil-the problem is that we have too much."
Now that Peak Oil has "gone up in flames" and we have "too much oil" - I have to ask - why am I paying north of $3.75 a gallon for gas?
Me thinks that the Guardian has swallowed the kool-aid.

You are (were) paying 3.75 a gallon for gas because the whole oil business is controlled by Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They will never let the price go less than $98 which is what they need to keep the budget in balance in 2012. It is inevitable that no matter what Iraq or USA produces, we as a world have to pay more for oil every following year. Because KSA's budget needs increase along with its social programs and world record birth rate. Currently they are break even and they want it to stay that way.
