Nice ending Aaron 8O
Hello, my name is Rax. I live in the Amazon jungle with a bunch of women. We are super eco feminists and our favourite passtimes are dangling men by their ankles and discussing peak oil. - apparently

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Raxozanne', 'N')ice ending Aaron 8O

Nice montage Aaron. (Even without sound)

It does make you reflect on the beauty of human life as well as seeing the dark side.

PO will bring major changes (Apocalyptic ones according to Aaron) but hey....since when has the human race ever been a peaceful species.

I want to appreciate the precious things in life... but shit happens.

:-D Cheer up Aaron! Lets face it when that nuke bomb hits YOU WONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT !

Sing after me...

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '
')Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear
and curse
When you're chewing on
life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best...
And...

...always look on the bright side
of life...
(Whistle)

Always look on the light side
of life...
(Whistle)

If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and
dance and sing
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle
- that's the thing.
And...always look on the bright
side of life...
(Whistle)

Come on.

Always look on the bright side
of life...
(Whistle)

For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain
with a bow
Forget about your sin - give the
audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance
anyhow.
So always look on the bright side
of death
Just before you draw your
terminal breath
Life's a piece of shit
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke
it's true
You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh
is on you
And always look on the bright side
of life...
(Whistle)

Always look on the right side
of life...
(Whistle)

Come on Brian, cheer up.

Always look on the bright side
of life...

Always look on the bright side
of life...

Worse things happen at sea you know.

Always look on the bright side
of life...

I mean - what have you got to lose?
You know, you come from nothing
- you're going back to nothing.
What have you lost? Nothing.

Always look on the right side
of life...

That ending was spooky with the skulls all piled up. Did that come from Terminator or Cambodia? Interesting use of semi-subliminal imagery at the start. I sometimes wonder if there is a Universal Law that when sexually programmed organisms become self-aware that they immediately set out on a course of self-destruction. Nah, its just that humans were too successful for their own good.

Wow Aaron,

U really are having a bad day.

Look at the bright side Aaron. If TSHTF, then u knew in advance and have greatly increased ur and ur ofsprings chance of surviving.

Just having a little knowledge helps. Having lots and lots......well

They're will be people survive this no matter what. No matter what!

IMHO this site is increasing the survivability of mankind and making the future just a little brighter with each and every person who looks and reads and learns. :-D

For me this isn't about the world ending at all. The constant change of life is occurring and will occur again. The world will change but its not the end. Its just going to be different.

On a really up beat note. If somebody would plant flowers in the skulls. Just think how pretty the pile of skulls would be. :)
Peace out!

sorry, but i didn't like the video at all. it just seemed to be a bunch of random images, half of which had little or nothing to do with peak oil at all. if i didn't know about peak oil already and that was my first exposure to it, i would come away saying "i don't know what the hell THAT was about" and immediately forget about it.

Man... whew.

Long-ass day...

One CF after the next today. I'm no angel, but I'm fairly certain I don't deserve that. :)

-----------------------------------------------

Had to break out and observe the duality of man thing, and emphasis the tragic nature of our collective brilliance.

Yeesh

I do need a new song... That one just seemed so appropriate.

again

It's a pretty excellent release to experiment with thought in here and other forums, exploring ideas through interaction with knowledgeable comrades. This medium fills a void created by modern society of emotional distance and intellectual surrender, in an interesting way. The group-think exercise we are all engaged in is at once more personal than many RL relationships, while also being geographically agnostic. For the very first time in history, we are able to share ourselves in a meaningful fashion without regard for the barriers of distance.

It's a unique opportunity.

Perhaps we should not squander it....

I often reflect on the moving words of Socrates when he said,

"I drank what?"

I feel like this often, not having been consulted on design prior to arriving here on planet Earth.

And it is some comfort to kick my shoes off in here with you bright folks, and ponder the future... & the past.

Hmmm PB... I suppose this qualifies as an optimistic moment from me huh?

Well so be it...

Perhaps it's true, and people really are at their best when things are at their worst?

"What a long strange trip it's been."

Fair enough... but I made it not for the masses, and not for you apparently.

I suppose it was just my own pathos expressed in media.

Not everyone will get it...
