I would start with rigzone.com. We've gotten at least a few bites there for software engineers with geophysics, petroleum engineering and/or geology experience, but there aren't very many of these folks out there. Expect to pay top dollar for any Measurement/Metering Engineers you find. Schlumberger tends to hoover up those folks.

I actually have experience in metrology engineering but not directly related to the oil industry. It would be helpful to know what is being measured or calibrated because you can find engineers working in other industries that have the skills you are looking for.

I think it's nonsense to take natural gas and cook up this crap, then thin it so it will run in a pipeline. It will despoil millions of acres of land that might soon be useable for farming, so that we can drive around in giant cars for a few more years.
