$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '9') - Lots of 'New' Government Programs

Won't happen. US government will be bankrupt

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '1')0 - and of course, Massive Unemployment followed by an Engineered War to get us out of the Mess

Won't happen. There won't be enough money or oil left in the US for the US to wage war. What will happen is the creditors will forclose on the bankrupt US and the next couple of generations of US workers will do farm labor for their overseas landlords. The US elite will depart for their pre-prepared offshore havens.

We'll see a lot of this again in some new guise. But there is one thing that disturbs me, they had taboos against government red-ink before the depression. We haven't hit the new depression yet and we're already awash in red-ink. Something new and deeper is afoot here. I think its because we are so much deeper into overshoot. I'm convinced that things are going to get terrifying.

I doubt there will be any overseas landlords. The collapse of the US would be an international collapse and every country will be struggling to survive. China and Japan who seem to hold so much of the US debt will be up against survival issues of the first order. This may be the 'hidden meaning' of the current debt bubble. The US knows what is coming and is using its position of strength to prepare.

You said it, brother.

Whether it starts fast or slow, it's going to be bad.

Things are going to get TERRIFYING...Yes...I agree.

But at that point, do we "lock N load"? Or do we remain calm & organize the panicing masses?

Do we help eachother to survive or do we try to go it alone?

Maybe this question isn't answerable yet...i realize you can only fit so many in a life-boat before it sinks...and at the same time there is strength in numbers.

what to do...what to do?
