I had a hope until the very last day to take home the victory this year but in the end SeaGypsy proved to be to strong and I had to succumb to him.

Congrats SeaGypsy!

ps: I know it's not official yet but there can hardly be any doubt as to whom the winner is.

Here's the Final 2011 Scorecard:

Image

I haven't had time yet to tally the final leader stats, but as of 12/20/11, TheDude held the #1 spot the most in 2011, 25% of the reported days.

TheDude, aren't you playing this year?
There’s a strange irony related to this subject [oil and gas extraction] that the better you do the job at exploiting this oil and gas, the sooner it is gone.

Hey, I'm happy to just make top 20. Congrats Sea Gypsy, and I highly recommend you open a commodity consulting business :)
After fueling up their cars, Twyman says they bowed their heads and asked God for cheaper gas. There was no immediate answer, but he says other motorists joined in and the service station owner didn't run them off.

:-D That might be ok if my clients don't get disturbed by my heavily anti authoritarian views as expressed fairly vividly on here, under the same ID as my incredibly accurate forecasts. :P

I got stubborn on that high number (thinking we'd have another run up) but I can take comfort in the low & close numbers. But you know what they say about being close: it don't count.

Congrats to the winner and, to the rest of us, here's to a tight race in 2012!

Funny I just went through Goldman Sachs careers process with the thrust of my application being that a high school dropout beat their forecaster's behinds. Wonder if they will offer me a job? :P
