An offer for a wager

As most of you know, I like betting on events. I've lost two $50 wagers to OF2 since I've been a member here on GDP results. I think OF2 will attest that I've paid off rapidly on those bets when I lost. So here is what I propose:

For the first two takers, I will bet $50 that whoever the Republican nominee turns out to be, he/she will beat President Obama in the 2012 presidential election.

I would hope there are some people out there who still have faith in President Obama to pull this off.

This wager offer is good until December 31st 2011.

Would you be willing to bet that another unspecific party member (not necessarily Tea Party) would beat Obama or is this wager only valid for a Republican party member?

Sounds like easy $$$ but I believe a lot will happen before the new year so I'm just ask'n.

I already bet against the current president being re-elected, even before any party had nominated a candidate for the 2008 presidency. Towards the end of the Bush administration, I predicted no president from any party could survive the wreckage he would inherit. I'll be surprised if I'm wrong.

Bumping this thread to remind my counter-parts on their wager. Hmm, now that we know the Republican candidate is Romney, I'm a lot more comfortable with my wager on this. Gingrich, Santorum, or Perry would have been a disaster for me.
