$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'B')ut I'm cynical... and wondering how an attack on Iran is an intelligent move and how it could be sold to the public..

An attack on Iran would idiotic and short-sighted. Sound familiar? Delusions of grandeur in Washington? Nah... And this attack has already been sold to the public with threats of Iranian nukes, EMP attacks, and "supporting terrorists". Don't believe me? Turn on FAUXnews and watch the talking heads spout off about Iran being a threat to the US. Watch them use the same tired arguments they used about Iraq. They're doing it and have been since maybe February.
The current administration is neither idiotic or short-sighted right?
I don't put anything past them in terms of their idealogy being their motivating force rather than logic. Shrub admits that he doesn't read newspapers and that he doesn't want to hear negative news.
An attack on Iran would be catastrophic for this country IMO. If they go ahead with it, maybe, just maybe the public in this country will start to wake up to the fact that our leadership's vision is screwed, and that the government , as it is, doesn't have the best interests of Amercian citizens in mind when it makes policy.
That the US government doesn't care about the "little guy" is clearly evident to me and anyone else who gets their news from many sources other than the MSM here.
Actually, an attack on Iran might be a blessing in disguise if it pisses off the American people. Perhaps not. No pain, no gain right? In either case, there's nothing the average American can do to stop it right now. Anti war protestors are viewed as America hating liberals and as treasonous no-counts. At least that's how it feels here in Louisiana.
