About the Memorandum
The Stockholm Memorandum will consist of a synthesis of the discussions by Symposium delegates on how economic, political and social systems can be governed within the boundaries of the planet using a transdisciplinary approach and adopting a systems perspective on climate change and deteriorating ecosystems.

“The human pressure on the Earth system has reached a scale which challenges the resilience and the biophysical boundaries of the Earth. By deepening the dialogue around climate and environmental issues from an ecological, economic, social and political perspective among Nobel Laureates and high-level decision makers from business and political life, we seek planetary opportunities and stewardship for global sustainable development", says centre director Johan Rockström. He is also Symposium Chair.
