I'm curious to know if the increase of price in other commodities (i.e. uranium, coffee) is...well...how can I put this...on purpose? I know about the large ammount of spare capacity we have at the moment (which will be non-existent third-quarter) is lowering them, but is my theory at all possibe?

The high prices are mainly due to shipping & processing costs. Fuel prices have been high for a while & the minor drop in oil prices over the last few days have had no time at all to "filter" thru the market...

You should see the price of tomatoes right now (which are not yet in season in Minnesota).
