$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Sixstrings', '.')..Having said that, would any one of us have gotten involved? Not sure what I'd too, it's a tough situation.. do you insert yourself in the middle of somethin like that and take on an enraged woman beating a stranger to death?
I think.. I would HAVE to act if somebody were on the floor getting kicked in the head like that...
I can tell you about my reaction to two incidents I personally witnessed within a few months of each other in 2009.
First one was in July of that year. At the time, I was back home in Newark, NJ after finishing the Spring semester at Clarion University of PA and figured I'd catch some shows in NYC (not many shows in Clarion). I went to check out the Casualties and Leftover Crack at Blender Theatre on 23rd. The show was really good and, aside from a few people getting kicked out, uneventful fight wise. The show ended and then we go outside...
A guy was sitting on the curb, obviously stoned, when this trouble-making little witch starts with "what you looking at me for? Why you lookin' at me?" and kicks the stoner in the face. Her boyfriend comes over and starts stomping the guy in the face until he was bloody. The bouncer's ran over and the couple run across the street, At which point other concert-goers ran over to them and started wailing on the two of them. The couple ran with other people in pursuit until I lost track of them. A cop-car and an ambulance come to the scene. The stoner actually tried to get up and walk away, but the EMT's got him into the ambulance.
Flash forward a few months later to October, I'm back at Clarion and it's dinner time. I'm on line, waiting to get served, when a black dude and a white dude start arguing loudly. The black dude starts punching the white kid in the face, pinning him up against the lunch counter. The white kid pulled out a knife and stabbed the black kid in three leg three times. The assistant-football coach tried to brake up the fight, as the black kid was on the football team, and the white kid the came after
him with the knife. This caused the offensive and defensive lines, who had gotten off of practice, to start chasing the white kid through the dining hall. He was running around, brandishing the knife the whole time, looking for an exit. He finally got caught after he ran into the kitchen and some of the staff held him until public safety arrived.
In both instances, I was about five feet away from the fighting. In the NYC fight, my reaction was to stand and watch. Honestly, I thought the situation was messed up, but I didn't know anyone involved. It also ended very quickly, so there wasn't much time to get involved anyway. I did give a description to the NYPD and the bouncers; and gave an account of what I saw.
At Clarion, I already heard the staff call public safety, so I really saw no need to do anything. I wasn't about to jump in the middle of fight where both participants were younger, bigger, in better shape than I am, and one was armed with a weapon. Thing is it seemed to take forever for public safety to show up. The NYPD responded faster than Clarion University Public Safety did. At one point, I was thinking of calling 911 on my cell hoping that would expedite their arrival; but I figured that they had already been notified and calling 911 wouldn't really help anyway. Nevermind that I'm sure most people on here are aware that 911 doesn't automatically connect you to a local office, but to the first available operator. I could have easily been connected to someone in another city or even another county.
When the banksters want something, our policymakers move with the speed of Mercury and the determination of Ares. It’s only when the rest of us need something that there is paralysis.
How free are we today with the dominance of globalist capital and militarized security apparatus?
