$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('scas', 'T')he more depressive you are, the worse you will react to doom, and the more depressive you will become. Being hyper alert all the time takes energy.
Well, that's why I back off and tune out after a few days.
Another issue here for all of us probably is that we're ahead of the news curve. So when developments are breaking, we hash it out here and maybe come to consensus that it's not as bad as it seems, and then four frickin' days later the MSM catches up and says it is as bad as it seemed. So then we're back to square one again, caught between news cycles -- questionable internet speculation and mainstream.
But as far as digging into this to the level Cid has, I just can't do it. Because then I'm going to start worrying, and even though this is over in Japan I start thinking black swan, then I think well what happens if they're wrong and fallout is a bit worse in the western US then there's another black swan. I can think about that stuff if it's all hypothetical and some nebulous point in the future, but if it's right here right now I gotta back off from it.
Which is fine anyway.. since we're all interested in survival, if TS ever really does HTF then you don't want to spend all your free time consuming news. We really just need the basic info.

we aren't designed to worry about global scale catastrophy all day everyday and doing so can overload us.
Well that's true. So I'm gonna tune out and rely on Cid..
