No, but they do tend to disregard 'Peak Oil' and focus on Global Warming as fact.

Well, then there is a difference between peak oil and peak oil DOOM. If shorty were still around he'd explain how peak oil is true, but a non-event. Thomas Friedman types who will explain to us how the stone age didn't end because of a lack of stone.

The deeper question is whether you'd have someone as a friend who is always in your face over peak oil being bunk. Despite the group-think, forums like this throw people together that you'd not necessarily want to hang out with in the meatspace.

The IEA (the closest analog to the IPCC) doesn't say it's "nothing to worry about". To us it's corny, but to most people, their projections are still worrisome.
