$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('stu', 'S')eeing as this site seems to have a reputation for pessimism then I thought I would start a thread where we can only put stories and discussions that point to an optimistic future. Now this might sound quite general but allow me to explain.
Each week you will see stories that could point to another step to a full blown crisis in one certain topic.
For example: Gold prices and oil prices break new records so this is another step towards an economic crisis.
Bird flu spreads to another country increasing tensions about a possible bird flu pandemic that could kill millions.
You get the picture.
Instead I thought I'd create a thread where people can post news which points to continued economic growth, optimistic outcomes to energy crises and climate change etc.
Seeing as most people I talk to don't think a crisis of any kind is coming then I must be in the minority and there should be plenty of stories out there.
Allow me to go first.
Judge Lets United Leave Chapter 11$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'A') U.S. bankruptcy judge in Chicago approved United Airlines' reorganization plan yesterday, the final hurdle in the airline's path to reemerge after three years under Chapter 11 protection.
After the ruling, executives from United's parent, UAL Corp., said the airline could complete its reorganization as early as Feb. 1.
*Puts on optimist hat*
That's an optimistic sign. If United can reaarange their finances then I'm sure others like Delta can come out of Chapter 11 as well.
Stu, Stu, Stu...
I have always believed there were TPTB plants here on PO trying to make a pigs ear look like a silk purse so the average joe that stops by this little site will just throw up his hands in confusion. But Stu, my man, I never took you for a TPTB plant (Spec-Op yes, but not you Stu). So that's where the new Black copter in your garage came from. And when you signed up did they tell you who really shot Kennedy, and did you get tickets to the Annual Bush-BinLadin Families Bar-B-Q and World Domination Conference.
Well now Stu, since your new connections put you in the know with TPTB could you please answer an importent questions that has been bothering me for some time?
Why the hell don't my smilies work?
So Stu please get your new masters at the CIA, or MI6, or whatever evl organization your working for to turn my smilies back on please.

Lol, "stone him stone him!!!"
I suddenly have to think of the "Life of Brian" now, and the Peoples front of Judea, and Judeas peoples front.
For smilies simply click "View more Emoticons", and I don't even work for the CIA; hey stu, can you get me in??

Hey Free,
I tried that, but when I click on a smilie my cursor just disappears from the reply box and I get no smilie.
However, I am now more sure than ever that my disabled smilies are some sort of CIA, TPTB plot, that is being coordinated by Stu himself, to keep me from communicating my true inner emotions to the wider PO community.
What’s next Stu? Sending in a CIA ninja to disable the ‘P’ and ‘O’ on my keyboard. Better yet send in
Stacy Kiebler to take my mind off PO altogether (guaranteed to work by the way).

Dammit you got me!!!
And to think I had everyone convinced.
But seriously...........Even the slightest bit of optimism is works well for the mind. After finding out about PO I became more inwards because I felt like I had discovered that the train I was riding was coming off the tracks whilst the driver and the passengers were asleep.
Constantly believing the world is going to end in your lifetime is bound to have some negative psychological effect on you, unless you already have a similar state of mind. I've just decided to stop believing in Jewish controlled global governments and mad max futures and instead sit on the fence, do my own research by looking at both sides and come to my own conclusions. Like I said before, a crisis of some sort is brewing but predicting the scope of it is beyond anyone on this forum.
By the way.......My superiors have instructed me to inform you that you will be required to perform the following action.
Click your heels together three times and say after me....

That's it stu, you made one step too far.
