$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Cynus', 'D')o you guys ever read the Border Patrol weekly blotter? It makes fascinating reading. It is located here:
http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/border_secur ... y_blotter/

Try the M3 Report, I've linked to it here before. If you want more detailed horror, mi amigo.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers (NAFBPO) extracts and condenses the material that follows from Mexican and Central and South American on-line media sources on a daily basis. You are free to disseminate this information, but we request that you credit NAFBPO as being the provider.

Being retired they pull even fewer punches. Also more complete excerpts.

Diario de Yucatan (Merida, Yucatan) 6/11/09

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'M')exico’s Dep’t. of Justice (“PGR”) has announced a 10 million pesos reward for information leading to the whereabouts of Francisco Serrano, Customs Administrator at the port of Veracruz, who was kidnapped earlier this month (M3 Report of 6/3/09 relates). President Calderon travelled to Veracruz and issued a warning threat to criminal elements who insist on attacking the functions of the federal government * * * * The head of Mexico’s National Immigration Agency (“INM”) in Yucatan, Hernan Vega Burgos, was charged yesterday with procuring and human trafficking. He is accused of being part of a prostitution ring and allowing the entry into Mexico of Cuban, Central and South American prostitutes to work for a woman known as “La madam Yucateca” (the Yucatan Madame). He was also said to have been receiving a monthly stipend for his actions and also had the privilege of being the first to “visit” with each newly arrived female. Some time back Vega also had a confrontation with the Public Security Dep’t. regarding some undocumented Chinese. Vega has now resigned his post.

I guess that depends on whether or not it was consentual. Your little excerpt didn't specify.

What ever it takes to keep our local economy $$ flowing, think of all those wasted $$ being spent outside of America on tourism by Americans.

La Jornada (Mexico City) 6/30/09

(In this paper’s “Migration” section, a listing of things to watch out for in case one is thinking about emigrating to the United States)

(For State of Oaxaca natives) – “Please, if you think about coming to the United States, read or ask about the laws of this country so that you will know them and you will not get into serious problems. Due to the high increment of legal problems faced by indigenous migrants, the Bi-National Center for the Oaxacan Indian Development (“CBDIO”) has prepared a small, six point manual dealing with the most common problems that this group of immigrants face.”

“Six rules to avoid legal problems in the United States. This informative letter has been prepared by “CBDIO” due to the high increase of legal problems facing migrant Indians in the United States. Our hope is that it contributes to diminish those grave problems that affect indigenous migrant families.” (Each of the six numbered items below is then followed by the possible legal consequences, which we omitted from this report)

ONE – Legal age to have a mate: the law of the state of California says that persons under 18 years of age may not marry unless their parent(s) or legal guardians give their consent in front of a judge. It’s important to clear up that in California it is considered ILLEGAL for a person under 18 years of age to have sexual relations with someone older than 18; it doesn’t matter that the youth assents.

TWO – Domestic Violence. “Beating the woman, man or children” are grave crimes and are prohibited by the Penal Code, even more so when the mistreated ones show physical marks of the blows they have received.

THREE – Child abuse and negligence. (Goes on to list negligence and physical, emotional, sexual abuse as is commonly understood and followed in the U.S.)

FOUR – Driving under the influence of alcohol: “Having had drinks and then driving a car having .o8% of alcohol concentration in the blood is against the law and strongly penalized.”

FIVE – Throwing garbage on the street. It is strictly forbidden to throw any type of garbage on the streets and highways, from cigarette butts to papers and big furniture, among other objects.

SIX – Taking care of your bodily needs on the streets. Urinating or using the streets as a bathroom is a strongly punished violation of the law.

That reminds me of a piece that detailed the evolution of the etiquette of spitting - by the 16th century it was no longer considered polite in European nations to spit across the table; the proper thing to do was to spit into ones hand...

If there is any state in the union that Mexico shouldn't mess with..... It is Texas. If that violence spilled over to the US, the response would be unified, brutal, and swift.
If the American people ever allow the banks to control issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers occupied. Texas should go to Hell... Probably the worst state in the whole U$A. in fact, i only like California and New York. Washington DC is well planed, but being the capital it should be "rebooted" or "re-written".

So you like the most nanny, bankrupt, corrupt states in the whole union?? Figures. I grew up in Colorado and just moved to the Volksrepublic of Massachusetts and you can keep the nanny states. I wouldn't live in Texas (too hot) but at least both CO and TX have a backbone. Now I am just trying to figure out how to get out of MA.

texas is bankrupt. they are wayyyy in overshoot w/respect to their fresh water; they are both water-flow insolvent and H2O-balance sheet insolvent. soon, their very way of life will begin to disintegrate based on simply a lack of water (that's without taking anything else into account). under the right circumstances, that state could very well be a death trap.

I don't believe there is a state in the union that doesn't have issues. Some will still be paying their firefighters/police officers/teachers/etc... long after the nanny states stop. Everyone has the right to their opinion. :-D

paraphrase that. i will conquer that 2 states and reform them. the southern wall will go down with artillery, and then a blitz-krieg operation to kill the top commanders of USArmy... but i am waiting for the USA to go bankrupt and buy California for pennies on the dollar.

Massachusetts now has the value of California+New York. They got MIT. If it has a river as important as the Missisipi, do we have a deal?

Milenio (Mexico City) 8/3/09

[The following figures were in an op/column titled “Achilles, the czar and July’s 854” about insecurity problems in Mexico]: This past June had held the record for execution-style murders in Mexico during any single month. That record has now been broken in July, when there were 854 violent deaths recorded. The figure for the year is now 4,300 and 12,900 from the date President Calderon took office.

12,900 deaths. I think it is safe to say that there is a civil war going on in Mexico.
