Good, that's what I assumed. America as a whole has never in my lifetime been much for pacifism. But, it's an honorable goal. I don't think it will ever get there until and unless we become more self-sustainable.

Ford seemed like a decent guy, but I'm not sure he had much time to show us what he would do in terms of use of military force.
