$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Ang', 'I') thought I saw generators somewhere...wouldn't those make a lot of racket for the zombies to hear?
I thought about the ferry!!
You know, the Jeffersonian utopia at the end, in Vermont. It was a pretty huge area to defend. Maybe the smell of the maples masked the scent of all that zombie kibble!!
A) One of the first things he does in the morning is refuel his very latge generator.
B) The woman came to the pier at noon and waited all day until Nevil arrived, then rescued him and took him to his home in her SUV. She must have brought the SUV with her! And she was armed with UV lights that she used to kill/scare off the infected who were attacking Nevil's SUV. The infected attacked that same night because she did not obscure their trail as Nevil routinely did.
C) Give me a couple hundred armed adults, all the ammunition I can use, modern technology for UV spotlights and I won't need to fear the infected. Shoot on sight if they show up at night, cremate the bodies in the morning to prevent disease vectors from rotting corpses. Clear the surrounding territory during the day by sending armed and trained groups to destroy their hiding places. Burn down all the buildings outside the walled zone, flood the mines, seal the cave entrences with explosives. After three years there shouldn;t be any of the infected within 20 miles of the colony or enclave or whatever they called it in Vermont.
