$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('vision-master', 'N')ever give this kind of information out over the Internet - never.

ACkkkkkkkk .... already did, VM. My well-founded caution/paranoia did not kick in soon enough
Seriously, I wish I would not have done it now ... but it's done.
Still looking at options. Not too excited about any of them. Looks like I will probably go with an indemnity plan for 6 months -- it's not 'real' insurance. It's a deal where they pay me "x" dollars when I send them proof of a doctor's visit, etc.
Then after 6 months we'd qualify for the PCIP.
Just tore the cartilage in my knee (farm accident.) Surgery required. (I have a copy of the MRI .. there's no question about it.) Glad that will be done before the insurance runs out!
We are also maxing out our dental and vision benefits, and stocking up on some prescription meds ... while we still have the coverage.
Loki ... you thought I was a man? That's funny

I often have referred to my husband here ... but maybe you weren't in on those threads.
Yes, in answer to your question, I practice medicine. Rural psychiatry, actually, which meant okay money until 2.5 years ago -- and virtually no money now. I am sure my practice from the farm will be much more of a general practice in the future.
Will evaluate that after I am done being "laid up" from the surgery -- about the 1st week of September. Just in time to help with the harvest/canning/freezing, etc!
