Well... I'm not really certain about a device such as MagicJack. I don't think it can ever replace the feeling I get with my left hand. :-D
The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life.

Hey Pops-
I have no personal experience with MagicJack, however, one of the gals I work with loves it. She was so impressed by it that her entire fam-damily got it for a holiday gift from her. We all work from home (other than a handful in the DC office) and a good quality phone line is important yet it is passing muster. I would strongly suggest that you check the website for available area codes because that might be your deciding factor. It is not yet available for every area code so who you normally call and where they are would need to be taken into account.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('JoeW', ' ') There is also a one-time fee with ooma (~$40) to port your phone number, as I understand it.

Could be. I chose a new number when I set up my Ooma. I saw it as a welcome opportunity to ditch a number that was known to too many telemarketers (even though it was registered with Do Not Call). If you choose a new number, there's no charge.
