CPUC approves SDG&E solar power contracts

San Diego Gas & Electric Co. (News) announced Tuesday that the California Public Utilities Commission has approved its contracts to purchase 300 megawatts (MW) of solar power, with the potential to grow to 900 MW within 10 years.
