When the Bush administration first pushed its agenda to go to war against Iraq, it cited weapons of mass destruction, a possible uranium deal in Africa and links between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaida. When these claims turned out to be either hyped or fraudulent, the White House then tried to wrap the war cause around the need to spread democracy overseas. Now another motive is emerging, one that many have thought of, but which the Bush administration has never ex-pressed in public
