Just don’t “look” too closely. Because you’ll see not just one but three of those proverbial 800-pound gorillas in your living room. Imagine, three King Kongs sitting right next to your Christmas tree. Look too closely and they’ll erase your holiday spirit.

Of course, you won’t let that happen. No sir! Because you’re going to pretend they aren’t there, as you sing “Joy to the world,” as you go over the river and through the woods to grandmother’s house. They’ll be sitting near her tree too. But you won’t see them there either. Denial is a ubiquitous hot toddy.
