Nuclear plans could generate rift

A new generation of nuclear power stations could cause political tensions between Scotland and Westminster – and within the Scottish cabinet.

Professor Jim McDonald, of Strathclyde University’s institute for energy and environment, said a combination of nuclear and renewable energy seemed the best solution.
