Protesting is fine. But hopefully they have someone who understand pipelines. Improperly shutting down one section can cause a rupture/spin elsewhere in the system. And they might get a wrist slap from the cops butbif the companies want to get nasty they can sue for civil damages.

And if they want to really get the public’s attention the should shut down some gasoline distribution centers.

Wait until the real disrupters get going. It’s not hard to fuck up a pipeline if one is determined. How about a six ton come along and some wire rope chokers and the base of a sturdy tree? Maybe as the authorianism and punishments increase and more young people get thrown under the bus (no hope – no place for them) we’ll see them get busy? I’m thinking the anarchist enviro types. It will be a new ideology of sorts. Provide them with what all humans seek – meaning and belonging and revenge too. Think it sounds far fetched? Historically no. Sooner or later one or more violent opposition groups comes along. Maybe they will even team up with muslim radicals as their goals are similar? Millions of testosterone fueled young men with no place for them in the neoliberal paradise – no future. The worst case scenario seems to be lining up. I’m not talking about some ignorant peasant revolt. No I’m talking about movements that are lead by educated people who know how things work – like an Edward Snowden. Look at how many in the west went through the education system, at great cost, and still have no future. Unlike the agrarian systems of yesteryear the highly complex techno industrial systems have too many weak spots to guard. Hell the whole fucking thing can be brought down by a bunch of tech savvy folks using their keyboards. They even have their own hero worship tv show – Mr Robot.

I’ve been trading the spikes in crude futures on Tues. and Wed when the API and EIA inventory reports come out, and impatiently waiting for OPEC to agree on output cutbacks. Now I find out that environmentalists are helping me make money with there own version of cutbacks right here in North America.
Keep up the GREAT work guy’s.

Which should put CVX and XOM somewhere around 200$ a share so they will have plenty of money to spend on exploration. Get at all that oil that’s not financially viable at $50 a barrel. Going long on CVX Monday morning ,$101.30 a share, seems like a great play.

The trend is towards increasing levels of attack; vandalism and sabotage will increase. They will be labeled as terrorist fairly soon. As climate change nears criticality the sub groups opposing fossil consumption will increase the tempo and degree of action. It will be very interesting to observe and analyse.

The old U.S. no longer exists.  It is this reality that the masses cannot get their heads around.

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away, there were people who took life seriously and accepted the fact that basic existence was not all a bowl of cherries.

Then came the Learned Elderly hypnotists in control of living room video.  They turned the proles into snowflakes who robotically demanded a cost-free life of ease, comfort, and racial miscegenation, with all Whites condemned to extinction.  The business world imported slaves from the southland, who in turn demanded the same rights as the snowflakes.  The loss of meaning in the new carefree world led to new searches for it.  Personal importance was found in manufactured indignation about ecological problems even while importing millions of eco-destructive lowlives from trash dumps abroad.  The population of non-Whites exploded and homegrown political hackery answered the call to exploit it all.

Today the planet of “once upon a time” is gone forever, but the hypnotizees are blissfully unaware of that fact.  A maniacal banshee is about to take over the world, with the help of those Learned Elderlies.  Disrupters of civilizational choke points (e.g., unguarded oil pipelines, internet routing) ply their fun tradecraft with impunity.  And the whole system teeters on the edge of the abyss.

Because it would cause too much cognitive dissonance to change course.
