Kunster: ZZZZZZZZZZZ….

Public Policy

Wake the fuck up! Today we turn from the sordid dumbshow of Election 2016 to the parlous mysteries of finance and economics behind our sick politics. Most of the commentary in the mainstream special needs news media is based on the incorrect notion that the current disposition of things is sure to continue and therefore all we have to do is manage the familiar dynamics of the operating system in place. For instance, Grand Vizier Paul Krugman in today’s New York Times pimping for the US to issue ever-greater debt to repair US infrastructure. Does it seem like a sound idea? Borrow tons more money to get American running gear back in order so we can return to a growth economy. (There’s even a Trumpian gloss to it.)

Here’s the catch: the “growth economy” of which they chatter is done. You can stick a fork in it. The techno-industrial fantasia is drawing to a close. We are heading into a long term contraction of activity, productivity, and population and the salient question is how disorderly will the long emergency of the journey be to that new disposition of things?

The wish to keep all our rackets running is understandable. They have provided a lot of comfort, convenience, and luxury. But we are no longer in Alexander Hamilton’s world of cornucopian American abundance, just needing to borrow a little from the future to get at the gargantuan riches of a wilderness empire. We’ve been there and done that, and our present-day techno-narcissistic wish to replace all that spent material abundance with a Pokemon Go virtual reality economy is sure to lead to epochal disenchantment.

Borrowing from the future only works when you have some real prospect of paying the future back. The institutions that govern borrowing have been pretending for some time that our debts can be paid back. The untruth of this can be easily traced to the revocation of FASB (the Financial Accounting Standards Board) Rule 157 in 2009, which said that banks no longer had to report the market value of the loans on their books, but rather could make up any old number that made things appear to pencil out. In other words FASB decided that standards were optional. But that is only one cog in the great wheel of fraud that has rotated mercilessly with the seasons since the Fall of 2008.

What we face is discontinuity, the end of old spent dynamics and the beginning of new dynamics. Monetary deflation has been underway for years because that’s what happens when debts can’t be repaid: money vanishes. Now we will encounter the other dimensions of deflation: the contraction of manufacturing, trade, wages, and all the familiar markers of expansion in the waning techno-industrial era. The many dodges and stratagems tried by the supreme central bankers to work around contraction only produce ever greater distortions in markets, currencies, and the distribution of dwindling capital, leading to a grand battle over the table-scraps of history, i.e. the rise of radical politics world-wide, including Islamic Jihadism, and the western response in Trump, LePen, and the nascent Germanic right-wing. These current manifestations may be mild versions of what’s coming.

Nobody in power can come to grips with the reality of our situation. We have to salvage what we can and get smaller, becoming a more modest presence here, or the planet itself is going to hit the delete button on us. It rubs against the current religion of progress, which has replaced the other old cultic practices. The choice now is between time-out or game over, and the debate over these things is absent from the arena.

The aforesaid distortions in markets, currencies, and capital are spinning out in an ever broader, centrifugal gyre, coinciding, as chance would have it, with the most peculiar election in modern times. The incoherence and deceit on both sides is far beyond even the extravagant American norms of dauntless political bullshit. We literally have no idea what we’re doing in this country, or what we’re actually wishing for. The financial structures of everyday life look more fragile than ever. Gravity always wins.

The US could easily take 100 billion out of money for old people’s health and invest in infrastructure and energy efficiency. They could yank 300 billion from the military and still blow the world up.

Boat, the A.S.C.E. puts out an infrastructure report card every 4 years. The last one was in 2013 and the grade was D+. Their estimate to bring the infrastructure up to speed was $3.6 Trillion.

No worries boat. Trump just announced his economic plan today. It’s fucking AWESOME! Good manufacturing jobs like granddad had, no taxes and free government beer & blowjobs.

JHK is in good form this week, I like it when he paints with the broad collapse brushstrokes.

Much better than his other routine when he niggles over petty distractions like race, religion, and (ugh!) politics.

Lies, damned lies, and statistics.  Actually, we have transcended even statistics with the Krugmannian fantasy that faith-based money will lead to a glorious future.  Since St. Paul the Krug has discovered that costless electrons (cellphones, internet games, cinematic graphics, not to mention the new toys of warfare) can bring down the manufacturing costs of lots and lots while keeping prices high, he reasons that there should be nothing to stop us from rescuing the world with helicopter money, since belief in con artists is even cheaper than electrons.

Of course, the cultural collapse is proceeding apace with an exploding narcotics pandemic, killing millions of people while the burrhead on the mountaintop promises to solve all problems, preaching platitudes and fulminating against Trump as the queen pterodactyl circles the peak.  The aim is to lead Whitey to his own genosuicide.  As Stalin used to say, “where there is no person, there is no problem.”  The masses have become inured to the ongoing death spiral, blamed, of course, on the complicit Repubs.  The Demonics deny having anything to do with it, despite having ruled the roost for the last seven years and imported countless narcotraffickers and parasites.  It is becoming increasingly clear how Pied Pipers who have led various mass suicides in the past have achieved their aims:  they told their credulous followers that paradise was awaiting them just over the ledge.  So concentrate on feelings and empathy for “patriotic” anti-White Mohammedans, not on facts and serious plans to stop the corruption and the massive invasion of ThirdWorlders.  After all, the Learned Elders of Zion need to have the nosedive continue.

Douchy, yeah, all problems started the moment Obama got into office. Before that it was a utopian white workers paradise. Grow up for fuck sake. You can always spot a retard when they try to lay all the blame for cultural collapse on one teams captain. American Cultural/social collapse has been a long time coming and pegging the official start of the neoliberal era, heavily promoted and ushered in by Regan btw, as the beginning of cultural collapse is a good enough fit. Y’all played along and voted for Regan and his pie charts – any promise of more and the consumer zombies were all for it, damn the future debt. What you’re suffering today is a self inflicted multi generational wound. When it comes to the responsibility and guilt, that’s all just a matter of degree. Whitey and his new narcotic epidemic has roots going back to the 1990’s and the scheming by the pharmaceutical companies goes back years earlier than the first FDA approval of the #1 drug that kicked it all off. No doubt the little guy has been getting fucked over by the establishment for sometime in many different way, but they are not exactly handling it like men. No more like trained up, blind, helpless welfare state products. You know just like many of those in the hood. Knutsler says everything is a racket and I agree because I can spot a racket – not that hard. I do this thing called research before I get involved in anything as opposed to blindly jumping in then whining my ass off after finding out the hard way that I was fucked over – Caveat emptor. All these people have to be really fucking stupid to keep getting fooled by the same types of people pulling the same types of scams over and over and over. Most everyone knows that Hillary is a total cunt, but to listen to all these stupid fucking retards getting excited over Trump, a life long con artist, leaves me to think y’all really do deserve the fucking over you been getting and the ones to come. Caveat emptor bitches.

Let the sun shine on doctors’ ties to pharma

It’s time Canada curbed Big Pharma’s undue influence over what doctors prescribe.

“As the U.S. company acknowledged, Purdue misled doctors about the safety and effectiveness of OxyContin, fuelling a public health crisis that now claims the lives of some 30,000 North Americans annually.

In the seven years after OxyContin’s approval by the FDA in 1995, the company sponsored some 20,000 pain “education programs” in the United States at a cost of about $200 million. (OxyContin would eventually generate more than $35 billion in revenue.) The company employed a legion of sales representatives to promote its products, paying them bonuses averaging $70,000, with some earning upwards of $250,000. Purdue also spent huge amounts on “gifts” and “swag” for doctors, and distributed starter coupons entitling patients to their first OxyContin prescription free.”

    “Certified psychiater…..”

    Steve Pieczenik, MD, PhD[

“In 1992, Pieczenik told Newsday that in his professional opinion, President Bush[clarification needed] was “clinically depressed”. As a result, he was brought up on an ethics charge before the American Psychiatric Association and reprimanded. He subsequently quit the APA.[4]

He calls himself a “maverick troublemaker. You make your own rules. You pay the consequences.”[4]

The role he played in the negotiations to bring about the release of Aldo Moro, an Italian politician kidnapped by the Red Brigades, is fraught with controversy.[citation needed]

On May 3, 2011, radio host Alex Jones aired an interview in which Pieczenik claimed that Osama bin Laden had died of Marfan syndrome in 2001 shortly after the September 11 attacks, and that the attacks on the United States on 9/11 were part of a false flag operation by entities within the American government, the Israeli leadership and Mossad.[31]

On October 20, 2011 in an interview with Alex Jones, Pieczenik claimed that Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi was alive, and said, “There’s no way they killed Muammar Gaddafi, that’s not our operating mode and I’ve been involved in 30 years with the takeouts and regime changes.” He also criticised President Barack Obama, calling him an “obsessional pathological liar”.[32][33]

On September 16, 2012, during an interview with Alex Jones, Pieczenik stated that Israel planned to initiate war with Iran during Yom Kippur 2012 unless ex-Mossad and ex-Shin Bet agents assassinated Benjamin Netanyahu.[34]

On March 27, 2013, Pieczenik claimed that the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was a hoax and a false flag event…..”

…. and much more. Sometimes it’s necessary to just shoot the messenger.

Wow ghung, you opened quit a can of worms here!

    http://articles.mcall.com/1992-08-09/news/2872884_1_soviet-spies-negotiator-military-action

For starters, this guy has a pretty impressive CV. Trained in shrink-ism at Harvard, Cornell and MIT. Played very high profile diplomatic roles. Was deputy assistant secretary of State under Kissinger and Vance. He is no small beer.

Interestingly he is a member of a tribe from which you once subtly suggested that scoring 23% of the Noble Prizes should be enough justification for them to run the West (into the ground).

I wonder if your list of “arguments” do you cause, namely proving that Hillary is fit to run for US president, any good.

In 1992 there were rumours that HW Bush wasn’t in the best health either and depression was one of the speculation. He seemed lack-luster in his campaign, which he lost.

Moro: again high profile involvement in international politics.

9/11: one really has to be an imbecile or a blind US Ueber Alles “patriot” not to smell that 9/11 was fishy. 3000 people killed and not a single trial was eve held, despite the enormous resources of the FBI and CIA available. But to be fair to the US: no government will ever indict itself, no does it? WTC7 was clearly blown up. Now you can’t wire a building for destruction without the owner noticing it. The owner was Larry Silverstein, well connected to the Israeli government and the PNAC folks. One of the PNAC signatories was Dov Zakheim, who was responsible for the famous missing 2 trillion %. A group of accountants were busy finding out what had happened to this enormous load of cash in the Pentagon on the very spot where F77 was said to be crashed into the building killing all the accountants. What a coincidence. Nobody ever talked about these 2T ever again. Oh, and Dov Zakheim was CEO for four years of SPC, a company specialized in remote control of airplanes. Surely must have inspired him to come up with an idea of how this infamous “New Pearl Harbor” from page 52 of the PNAC report could be shaped. There can be no doubt that it was indeed Mossad and CIA, responsible for 9/11.

Pieczenik is a perfect example that there still are some honest Jews who go against their own tribal interest if the cause stinks.

  23. ghung on Wed, 10th Aug 2016 8:56 am

Gosh, Cloggie, having trouble making sense of your comment. Firstly, I never “subtly suggested that scoring 23% of the Noble Prizes should be enough justification for them to run the West”. I have stated that a large segment of the population is too ill-informed, deluded, and not educated enough to make an informed decision when voting. Trump’s level of support certainly proves that. Anyway, they aren’t the same thing at all.

Secondly, I’m not a Clinton supporter, but certainly anti-Trump. I agree with those who have come out declaring that he is a ‘clear-and-present-danger’, many of them members of the GOP. It would be a mistake to apply binary thinking to how I view things.

Thirdly, all the creds you assign to Pieczenik in no way establishes the guy as credible. Plenty of people who on the surface seem inherently credible (to some of you) are bat-shit crazy. And I don’t consider the guy’s ‘tribe’, one way or the other. One of us here isn’t a bigot.

As for 9/11, the Bush family’s relationship with the House of Saud explains just about everything.

If you want to get your information from the Alex Jones show and Fox go for it. If you want to challenge the list of Pieczenik particulars I posted, go to the link and the sources at the bottom, and debunk them one-by-one. Post your conclusions here and I’ll read them.

Meanwhile, Trump has so thoroughly disqualified himself as being a viable Commander-in-Chief (and continues to do so), the rogue sector of the GOP has no other strategy than to disqualify Clinton. Very sad state of affairs in the US these days. I may end up writing myself in.

Thousands of Pages of Confidential Think Tank Documents Detail Corporate Ties, New York Times Reports

“The newly revealed emails are striking in part because they reveal how corporate interests have affected left-wing think tanks like Brookings, which are sometimes regarded as less under the corporate thumb than right-wing overtly pro-corporate think thanks like the American Enterprise Institute or The Heartland Institute.

The documents show the precise ways that corporate donors are able to control the messages coming out of the think tanks they fund behind the scenes, while still preserving a public veneer of independence.”

  25. Apneaman on Wed, 10th Aug 2016 1:43 pm

Kuntsler says “everything is a racket”

“According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, here is how the total American job numbers looked 15 years ago, and today:

2000: 65,900 news reporters, and 128,600 public relations people

2015: 45,800 news reporters, and 218,000 public relations people

So 15 years ago, there were two PR people for every reporter in the country. Now there are 4.8 PR people for every reporter.

This is a huge change, as companies and organizations are seeking to bypass a shrinking media industry and tell their own stories. What this means is that people are getting less objective news and more biased content.

When I tweeted those stats recently, a lot of reporters chimed in, including former Baltimore Sun staffer and creator of the HBO series “The Wire,” David Simon.

“This is how a republic dies. Not with a bang, but a reprinted press release,” Simon tweeted with a link to the stats.”

America now has nearly 5 PR people for every reporter, double the rate from a decade ago

    Here is WTC7:

    https://youtu.be/Zv7BImVvEyk

Now why would you wire a building for controlled demolition and embarras yourself by being forced to push the button on 17:00 pm, 9/11 and risk being confronted with videos like the one above?

Answer: because a remote controlled airplane, filled with gassed crew and passengers, didn’t show up. That plane was F93, that was shut from the skies over Pennsylvania.

And the reason why it was shut down was because the plane had an unexpected delay of 44 minutes. A local commander saw on his television screen what happened in New York and decided to send a fighter plane up to F93. The pilot Eric Gibney reported that all the people on board were either unconcious or dead and the local commander of the Happy Hooligan squadron ordered to shoot the plane down.

That’s why Silverstein was embarrassed and “decided to pull”.

Cloggie, are you insinuating Bush has no responsibility here???

  41. Cloggie on Thu, 11th Aug 2016 9:06 am

Bush, like any US persident was small beer. He was sent off to Florida to read goat stories to toddlers, in line with his limited capabilities. he was informed during that performance what was happening and he was clearly upset and surprised.

The real masterminds were Cheney and PNAC signatory Dov Zakheim, the airplane remote control specialist. Silverstein bought the WTC center, insured it against terrorism and made a handsom profit from it. He oversaw the wiring of WTC1/2/7 for controlled demolition with the devilish purpose to create a New Pearl Harbor, that is 3000 killed, to create the terrorism meme and the pretext to invade any country at will for the benefit of the US empire.

Oh and normally both Silverstein and his two kids were present high up in one of the WTC towers, but not on 9/11.

  42. PracticalMaina on Thu, 11th Aug 2016 9:28 am

I think Silverstein would have realized that if he didn’t play along and get paid, we was gonna end up having a lethal accident. Bush was the commander in chief so he should have known about the suspiciously large and dangerous NORAD drills going on that day.

I think it was a false flag to distract from the photos of sucking on the Saudi kings face.
    http://www.globalresearch.ca/bush-family-ties-to-terror-suspects-re-opened-by-the-911-classified-28-pages/5433096

  43. Cloggie on Thu, 11th Aug 2016 10:00 am

“I think Silverstein would have realized that if he didn’t play along and get paid, we was gonna end up having a lethal accident.”

That’s pure speculation and a distraction. To arrive at the truth behind 9/11 as quickly as possible:

    – watch the video of the WTC7 collapse: all columns knocked away at the same moment without a window pane breaking during the first seconds. Conclusion: controlled demolition. Meaning: 19 Arabs with boxcutters story can be shredded.
    – Next: you can’t wire a building for destruction without the owner knowing about it: Silverstein knew. In fact it was him who as a owner of the complex who decided “to pull” (in order to avoid embarrassment with inspectors noticing that the building was wired for demolition)
    – Silverstein was well connected with the Israeli government, meaning the commander of the Mossad, who must have carried out the demolition preparation.
    – Remember these “dancing Israelis” who were anticipating what was about to happen and filmed the event from the board of the Hudseon river. They were later arrested for 90 days or so but eventually released after heavy pressure exerted by the likes of Alan Dershowitz.

“Bush was the commander in chief so he should have known about the suspiciously large and dangerous NORAD drills going on that day.”

So what? These drills were used by Cheney, who oversaw the entire operation and issued the standdown order so the entire operation could unroll unhindered.

Nevertheless, much went wrong. Only two planes reached their intended target (WTC1/2), F93 was shot down over Pennsylvania as a result of a decision of a local commander (because F93 had 44 minutes delay) and F77 didn’t impact the Pentagon either, which prompted the FBI to hastily confiscate dozens of surveillance videos in order to hide the truth that what happened at the Pentagon was a mixture of bombs going off at Dov Zakheim’s controller office plus a small plane or missile hitting the Pentagon.

The Saudi’s had nothing to do with it. Bin Laden denied he did it when he was still alive in 2001.

It was a CIA-M9ossad false flag, exactly as the former Italian president had said it was when suffering from terminal cancer.
